Congrats and Thanks Brad - Just noticed early on that there were a bunch of grunts here. As the numbers grow, that percentage is heading towards the demographic average. Keep your head low and your eyes open over there. Z |

I don't know if I fall into the owner or future owner catagory here as mine is paid for and won't be delivered til late may. I'll still be a 34 year old man when I throw my leg over the saddle of my new machine. |

Thurstonbuell, NO, it is not good in the snow!!! But it is easier to ride in the snow than my XB9S was! I maybe should have put it like,,, The 1125R didn't care if there was snow or not but the tires are indeed worthless in the snow. They like a more summery surface, that's where they really shine! Congrats on your new ride, you're going to Love it! JJ |

Thanks Sheridan , nice information about the 1125R in the snow , I will keep that in mind ! So far I've only got to sit on it , fire it up and smell the sweet smell of exhaust. Here's hoping for an early spring! or that Buell come out with snow chain's ! |

About the snow. I had a small patch of ice about 10 foot wide across my drive way. I got the bike out no prob then rode for several hours. When i got home i had to cross the ice again but slightly uphill now. So i approached slowly and right when the back tire touched it it spun. No matter what i did i could not get the bike to move up my driveway. I tried it with a little bit of a run and slid all over the place and almost dropped it. My feet were skating all over the place. The ice was about 2 inches thick and hard to chop up so removal was out of the question. After 20 min of trying to get my bike back in the garage i decided to start chopping ice. I cleared a path about 8 inches wide and it only took me an hour. And slowly drove the bike up the tiny path into my garage. My neighbor watched me from across the street the whole time laughing. He could have helped by pushing. |
