Where are you guys mounting them and how are you doing it, for those that aren't putting them on your helmets? I've put mine on my helmet in the past, but my new one has a really nice paint job on it and I don't want to cover any of it up or mess it up where the bracket rubs it. On long trips I can toss it in my tank bag, but for short jaunts with a buddy I won't have the tank bag on the bike. |

If you want something that will accomplish the same thing - talk to the people you riding with - check this out http://cardowireless.com/scala_rider_Q2/ I've been using the original version for cell phone and it works well up to about 80 with a noisy helmet and earplugs. |

^^ Wow - that's basically exactly what I've been looking for. The old Scala was no good for bike to bike, and the bluetooth headsets that were didn't have stereo headsets (for music). This solves my problems - I'll be sure to forward this on. Plus, the speakers look thin enough where I could avoid having to cut up my brandy new helmet. Oh, and the chatterbox will fit in the tail trunk or a tail bag, but you basaically have to constantly monkey with the VOX setting on them, it needs to stay a bit more availible... In my experience, the chatterbox needs to be someplace you can easily reach it. The vox is useless over 30mph, so I use the push to talk mode. I ended up buying a second helmet that is the dedicated chatterbox helmet. IMHO the helmet is the best place to mount it. |
