Hell, I may buy it. It's only 30-40 minutes from me... my wife is gonna kill me. "I said you could buy a bike...I *assumed* you'd buy it all at once, though!!!" LOL. |

Waiting to hear from an S1 frame seller. S1 would be my preference here since I want to build a track-style bike...but the hard part is done. Wife sighed, rolled her eyes, and "whatever"'d |

Oh, you are so optimistic...you should see my stack of projects, LOL. I may be able to store it on the roof of the Shelby GLHS that's been in the back of my garage for five years, until I decide to actually work on one or the other |

Well, it's home. Bare frame, ground strap, tank hold down (recall set), six sideplate bolts and four rubber tank feet. It's a start, LOL. Title is wrong, it has the VIN for the chopper that was built from the rest of the bike, not the VIN off the frame. MD keeps the year/model/miles of the donor bike on the title when you build a chopper, and assigns an "xxxxxMD" VIN number to the rest of the info; the guy just handed Dave the wrong piece of paper when he sold it. I'll get that straight soon enough, the frame seller knows where the chopper guy works and since I'm a title agent for MD I can track him down thru his DL number I'm on my wife's computer while my computer goes thru a Windoze repair install..been fighting with that all night...and it's like 12 degrees outside so I'm not going to the garage to get the VIN off the neck. I'll post it to the S2 owners' thread tomorrow Maybe I'll get really lucky and somebody will have the "spare" sig series stuff for it! I have to check my (complete) bike's neck, but I think the build dates are similar. The bare one is May 95 IIRC; I'll post that as well. |
