I noticed this guy sticking out looking at me and made me wonder what its for. Is it supposed to be plugged in to something? The images are a little grainy due to high ISO but I think these give you a good idea of what I see. The area is directly behind the instrument gauge and the photos were taken looking straight down from the front of the bike. See the final image below if you are still not sure about what area you area looking down at.

My guess would be for a European marker light. It's got a blank socket plugged into it already, so I know it's not something that's accidentally unplugged. (Message edited by jos51700 on February 04, 2008) |

Accessory plug, if you get the heated grips they plug into it. |

This makes me wonder.... If that is the plug for the heated grips... then what did they use at the dealer for the grips that I have on there now...? Is there more than one accessory plug? BaggerMike; You have the grips, do you also have this extra plug? (Message edited by nickcaro on February 04, 2008) |

The heated grips' wiring harness has an additional accessory plug for an additional accessory. Sort of daisy chains another one. |

That is true I do not have grips but do know that the grips plug in and have another one coming off of the grips plug, also that will shut off if the battery gets low and I hooked up my acc to it for this reason, it prevents you from running down the battery, I got to have gloves because two of my fingers are always on the clutch and brake levers and my two fingers would freeze with heated grips.
