This just out from Richie Morris Racing Website: DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson Buell and Richie Morris Racing officially announced today their plans for the 2008 Suntrust Moto ST series. The team will field a Buell 1125R in the SST class. The pilots will be Shawn Higbee and Dan Bilansky. Both riders were with RMR last season and finished a strong second in the series championship…winning three of six races. A second team will run the GST class on a Buell XB12R. The riders will be Clint Brotz with the second yet to be named. “I can’t tell you how pleased this makes me. Bruce and I have been together since 1994 and this year promises to be our best. He is currently working with two potential sponsors that are outside the industry…so that would be great for our sport overall! We are both equally excited about the performance of the new 1125R. Yes Friday will be CCS/ASRA racing. Buell racers will be on the track. Same on Saturday, plus the Moto ST practice session. Sunday is ASRA races and MotoST 300K race. And yes James Gang/Hoban Bros Racing #70 will be there racing all weekend!  | ||

RMR sponsor update.... Toyota will be replacing Budweiser as sponsor on the Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing Buell 1125R. Geico, Coca Cola, and Eagle Rider Rentals will remain as is. | ||

RnR Cycles Racing (Sterling VA) lead by Rick Beggs (a veteran endurance racer in CCS/ASRA/WERA) will be running an (basically stock)XB9R in the MotoST this year. It's their first time on a Buell and they are scrambling to get it ready for racing. Already Rick has talked about all the great support and information he's gotten from folks like Frederick Buell and James Gang! So consider this a public "THANKS GUYS!" for helping out the 'new team'! Anyone that's going to be down there and wants to lend a hand. Find Rick or Rachel and let them know, I'm sure they'd be happy to have whatever help we can offer. | ||

Actually, the problem is we're busy for the winter season! The Mutant is scheduled to go to a sales class next month, I'm busy watching the shop (which is showing an unseasonably high flow of work coming in), and Tom wants to shift our racing from the XBRR to an 1125R for Moto-ST. We want to try and sell the XBRR prior to acquiring the 1125R and all its required racing components to try and recoup some of the costs involved in the XBRR so far. As of right now, we're looking at the last 2 races of the Moto-ST series, with a possibility of this year's homecoming. But with everything happening here at the dealership, we had to cut back on our racing this season. Perhaps one day, we'll have a full time race team, but for now we just don't have the resources to commit to a full season. Chris | ||

Will be there Sat through Wed....Black xb #100. another cool thing besides CCS and Moto-st is to check out the battle of the twins racing on Monday and Tuesday(held in conjunction with AHRMA). Ton of super cool bikes.....Moto Guzzi MGS-01, Daytona Weapon, Over Racing Yamaha, XR750's, even a modern 1600cc Vincent engine in a GP chassis. See ya there and good luck James Gang! | ||
