Picked up a 98 XR400 two years ago for a song, put it in my garage and promptly forgot about it. This weekend drained the old gas, cleaned the carb and put in fresh oil and a new plug and I'll be damned if it didn't start on the second crank! It does still need a fair amount of tlc, have any of you guys had good experience with online suppliers of MX parts? (ie: oem parts, plastics, after market stuff) Thanks |

10-4 on bike bandit. You can also get new plastics from Acerbis or UFO. Strip that puppy down and powder coat the frame. Throw on some ProTaper bars, etc. You can have lots of fun making it into a new bike. |

Interested in upgrading to electric start? I have wire harness, left side of a TRX 400 quad engine complete.I always wanted it on my XR 400, couldn't wait. The knees told me no more kick start. My CRF 230 does great for trail riding |
