Drake, I can share my room at Home Coming as well if needed; but be warned I sleep commando style and my wife says that I snore and at times sleep walk ( don't worry; I'm sure there is little truth to it). |

Ya, It will be rather toasty, in the 70's here also. Hallett through in a impromptu track day to coincide with the weather. Also, your Breaux Bridge linemen were in town to assist with our power problems, they said the coffee was pretty weak here,I gave them my Starbucks gift card and a BIG thank you. Post up and let us know how #316 handles the track. Brian. |

I know a guy here in Tulsa who is ready to buy a Buell motorcycle. He needs one of the "low" models like the XB12cg. Anybody have any leads? |

He could get a XB12 and order the cg seat. How's that option? |

No...he's a shorter rider. I think he will get the most enjoyable riding experience if he has a bike that fits him well. |

Etsoneup, It was good talking to you today. Sorry I had to cut it short. We have been having a pretty hectic time lately with one of our projects. We are working on the Cherokee Casino Hotel in Catoosa. It's going to be a 20 story high rise and nobody seems to have their shit together...especially the design team. Being a concrete contractor seems like being a red headed step child. Hmm...no wonder I like Buell's! Good news though. The dealership called and they have a ship date on my bike. Its later this month! A bunch of us need to get together and go to Homecoming in July. It sounds like something we can't pass up and it will be quite memorable. |

We need to make the trip to Homecoming; I still plan to go. Vacation time can be short for some of the younger crew, that may be the only good thing about being older (more time off).....I'm thinking there has to be some other good things...get back with you on that. Anyway; I agree it should be a good trip.. lots to see and do. Bought a D/S the other day DR650...I want to ride the TAT next fall. |

Yup, I am 95% sure I can go to Homecoming. Another bike, eh? How many is that now!? A Dual Sport would be a fun bike to have. They are just so dang versatile. You can do just about anything on them! (Message edited by dtx on January 15, 2008) |

From Tulsa it is 734 miles to East Troy. Would we want to do this in one day? |

One day would be tough; I would think it would be a two day trip up. That would allow time to stay on two lane as much as possible and off the super slab. Let me make sure the wife is not looking over my shoulder; that would be a three bike herd... Life is good... oops here she comes |

Up near Racine, WI. yesterday. Went by Uks HD / Buell (think thats right); they had a 1125R ready to deliver so the salesman started it up for me. Sounds good with the stock pipe. Drake, you have your bike yet? |

you can get a voucher for a free neck gaiter from Buell if you log on to the Buell site. This is like the bag they gave away last year. The next issue will be finding a Buell dealer that knows about the promotion. This deal runs from February to April 15th. I wasn't sure what a neck gaiter was.... (like a neck sock sort of thing) |

I went to get the neck gaiter, but like always they don't know what is happening at RT 66. The said you had to buy a bike to get it. Needless to say I wasn't happy. Free gear. No Hassle. I don't think so. |

Sounds like the same issue I had when I went to get the Buell bag last year. |

Yeah, I wish they would just follow the procedure as advertised and give them out to everybody that comes in with a coupon. It would save a lot of confusion and people getting irritated. |

Hey Drake, you still have that old belt lying around? I snapped one on the way to work on Monday morning. What sucks is that belt was less that 2 months and 2K miles old. I'm under the impression that RT66 won't cut me a deal on a new one either. So, i'm just gonna do the swap to the newer belt style and hopefully won't be pushing the bike home again. On another note, the XBs may be light, but they ain't so light when pushing them up a hill haha |

Sam, I have a belt, but its the newer one that fits the 04+ belt pulleys. If you have an 03 it won't fit. Moto, I don't have one but a friend of mine works for Garmin. He has the Zumo and its pretty slick. Then again, it is $1000...I think. |

Dtx, I have heard that the Zumo is a good unit but like you said they are in $800.00 range. I have also seen the Lowrance XOG, $200.00 or so and it is "rain proof" and they do have a motorcycle mount for it. New bike here yet?? |
