I'm having a weird thing going on. I made some risers for my Buell and had to change the location of the throttle cables from the left side to the right hand side of the front fairing mount. This allowed more slack in the cables for the new position of the throttle grip. There are no kinks in the cables, the throttle response is fine. The bike starts up and idles great. Only when I'm decelerating and coming to a stop the engine stalls. If I pull in the clutch lever and blip the throttle it will idle fine at the stop. Any help on this one? Thanks. |

Mine keeps pooping too. It seems to do it more often when its colder. I`m thinking that it`s ok since my A.T. hasen`t been above 58 deg yet, my C.T. hasen`t been above 170 deg yet, and the fact that all the internals are still really tight. Besides it`s always restarted in one quick klick. If it still does it after 1k miles I will have it looked at. |

How about some details of how you made the risers and photos? Thank you. Dave |

Guys, this has happened to me too--several times during the first couple hundred miles. Seems to be fine now and has not pooped out mysteriously in the last few hundred. |

Mine has done this about 3 times as well. I've only got 300 on the clock, but it will be going back to the shop if it continues to happen after I break the bike in. |

Be careful with the gas you put in her. I was having a hot start problem, and she pooped out but didn't die once or twice under light acceleration, and died once coming to a stop during two strange days of riding. When I filled her up again, the problems vanished. I then remembered my previous frameful was purchased at a previously unused, "cheapo" gas station. She's been running like the proverbial top since then, and it's been a few tankfuls and some foul weather riding thrown in to boot. |

Dave_bogue, Here is the link to some pictures of the risers I made for the 1125R. They work great! Raised the grips two inches and back an inch. That was my limit due to wiring issues. Added longer brake and clutch lines. http://hurshey1brat.smugmug.com/gallery/4241070#24 8151844 |

You did a beautiful job on the risers. How does it feel now? (Message edited by old_man on February 01, 2008) |

Old_man, Well my back sure likes it. I raised the fairing off the frame at the mirrors by about 1 1/2 inches. This gives me a better view behind me since I'm sitting up more. I can take a picture of the spacer to show you what I'm talking about. Made a stainless screen cover for the oil cooler too. More pictures to come. |

Mine stalled several times on the ride home from the dealer (125+ miles from GHD to my house) then did it again a few times before the 300 mile mark. Had not done it again until today at 750 miles, the engine was fully warm today, about 70 degree weather . It always starts easily again and I always use amoco 93 octane gas. It is annoying, but so far doesn't seem to be a problem I would bring it back to the dealer for. If you look at the thread titled " theft error" you can read about the throttle problems I had once. I do not know if they are connected, time will tell. (Message edited by wahoo on February 01, 2008) |

I've had this problem with stalling on decel consistently. I rode saturday in 70 degree weather and the bike stalled at every stop sign, stop light and turn in. It even stalls if I blip the throttle coasting into my driveway. It's extremely annoying and something that I would not expect from a brand new fuel injected vehicle. Not sure if it's a TPS, IAC or fuel mapping problem in the ECM but it needs to be addressed. |

2009 CR I have noticed the same low rpm stall on occasion. I have heard that there is a new flash that will improve low rpm ops. Don't know what flash I have now. I'm not sure where to go or who to see to route this problem out. Because it is a problem. Mostly I just rev it up a bit and work the clutch during low (>3Krpm)operations. It is annoying. It makes you look like a rube. Yeah...that will do it! That and checking your oil level at a fill up. Just don't do it. |
