We just had a safety meeting at work yesterday, and they said that 34% of the Nation Guard (nation wide) deaths so far this fiscal year have been on motorcycles. Almost all of them were between the ages of 18 and 24. Twenty years ago (when I was 22) I was fortunate enough to come out unscathed after high-siding my CBR1000.
