Your initial reaction that he bike was similarly sized and styled from front to back in that photo with Firebolt fairing Tank and tail was correct. It clearly demonstrates the possibilities. |

Plaid. I'd paint it plaid... except the masking is so bloody complicated! |

I seen a xb with a supercharger from a mini cooper and had single sided swing arm and fork. It was a piece of art and one of a kind. but for me more cubic inches and maybe exhaust, ecm, higher rev limit, |

You know looking at Wantxbr's fairing photo, I don't think it's a photoshop job. Look at how the tail and fairing are reflecting the sky and the handlebar. You can't do that in photoshop. Not that it can't be faked, but in order to do that you need some very sophisticated hardware and software not found on most desktops. Creating those reflections requires 3D modeling software. It's called environment mapping and it's typically only done on SGI Graphics Workstation like machines. Well SGI is actually old school, you can do it on a high-end PC with the right software. The point being, it would have to be done by someone that wasn't your typical home PC user. |

I can't believe it's hard to imagine someone adding the fairing to a bike that has the tail, tank, seat of the same bike the fairing was designed for. Makes good sense to me. |

"Here is the website for the custom xbs with the mini cooper supercharger" It does beg the question, where are they storing the oil on that thing? |

Jos, If it is like the procharger the oil is self contained. Or it could be a non working "poser". |

I tried my hardest to see were the oil tank is and could not but did see stainless oil lines going to the oil cooler, they could have split the gas tank and have half and half or it could be hidden were the exhaust goes and were I would put it down low. Mike |

What does the supercharged bike have to do with a 1125R? |

All I can figure is they needed the supercharger to keep up with the 1125R. The single sided swing arm and front fork look terrible on that XB. Very European. But that's just me. JJ |

The single sided swing arm and front fork look terrible on that XB. Very European. But that's just me. Not sure I'd call it European, but it does smack me of typical Lazareth. Frankly I see these creations as more about being different for different's sake, and I'd much rather see a supercharged XB done in the same manner and principle as say Pete (PPiA) Aerocharged his S1W. For me, when it comes to a bike like a Buell streetfighter, it's all about staying faithful to the original design. They are that brilliant, why bastardise them? Rocket |

What does the supercharged xb got to do with the 1125R? just to show what I think would be awesome on the 1125R a supercharger, I thought that was the point of this tread, Maybe I was wrong. Mike |

The point of this thread was to highlight customer appreciation of design, and see if there were consistent, glaring design issues. I know procharger uses self-contained oil, but I was referring to the engine oil! I've thought about putting the oil underneath, in muffler world, but one speedbump could ruin your day! (at least with my luck....) The feedback is interesting. There's not 15 "I hate the seat" issues or anything like that. It's all a wide variety of stuff, mostly just personalizing. I think that speaks a bit about the broad market appeal the bike is likely to have. |
