Since bits of the manual has found its way to dealers and I need to replace my rear tire this coming weekend, is there anybody with access to the part of the manual that shows rear wheel removal/mounting? I am mostly interested in rear axle torque values and tightening procedure. Thanks... Asbjorn |

Nope. No burnouts. Just riding it (2500 miles). If the XB is hard on tires the 1125R is harder. |

"Nope. No burnouts. Just riding it (2500 miles)" WOW!! Thats like 360-420 miles/week if you got it 6 to 7 weeks ago. At the pace your running you should have 20k on it by the end of the year. If I can even find the time I will probably only put on 6k miles this year. |

I had a lot of time over Christmas and New year holiday including the first week of Jan. And we were lucky with the weather here in SoCal too at that time. So what do I do? Ride! I won't be keeping that pace up unless I win the lottery.. }} |

wow, if you only got 2500 out of it at a reasonable nice pace ride. i'll be lucky to get 1500. most people say they get a few more thousand out of the same tires i run than i do. no burnouts and such. i usually figure a tire change with an oil change... |

No worries Tim. I've not babied the tires but no burnouts either. The shortest life I got out of a rear tire is 1400 miles on my XB9. So I don't think the 1125R eats tires more than the XB. By the way. Do you have wheel removal/mounting info handy? I'm interested in torque values and if the belt requires special handling. Thanks. Asbjörn |

Dalton_gang (Neal), Here's the info for you: the procedure is basically the same as the XB's. Rear axle is first tightened to 27 ft-lbs then backed out 720 degrees and re-tightened to 48-52 ft-lbs. Rear pinch bolts are tightened to 40-45 ft-lbs. Hope that helps. BudC |

"sheesh....I hope tires last a bit longer than 2K" Bobup, the Corsa III tires are designed for more aggressive street riding and for the track. They are not designed to go 10k. They give the 1125R much sought-after performance but come at a cost. For those doing more street and distance riding then another tire might be more appropriate-something like the Scorpion Synch, perhaps. BudC

Thank you so much for posting that information Budc! That is exactly what I was looking for and desperately needed. To others so you don't think the 1125R is a tire eater. I ride here a lot:
And roads like it. For comparison, I got 1400 miles out of the last Pirelli Diablo rear tire on my XB9R. So I doubt there is a tremendous difference between the XB and the 1125R as far as tire wear. Asbjorn |
