Is that the breather vent inside the air box (like on the XB's)? If so, will someone be making a catch can set up? |

DTx, yes it has the breather vent. Good eyes. Betcha Al at American Sport Bike is working on something. That will be one of my first "performance" mods. If nothing, it will keep the airbox clean... |

Why not a simple inline filter on that breather tube? I wouldn't want an extra can on a bike that pretty... |

There have been substantial increases in low end torque on the ZX-14 & C-14 by removing the butterflies ('flies). Power Commander and remap are necessary due to lean A/F. I know, it's a completely different animal, but something to think about....... Dave |

And you some guys wonder why they get less gas mileage than the XB's! Dah. |

61mm throttle bodies are not harbingers of fuel-sucking themselves...The higher the specific output, the lower the fuel economy. I'd wager the BSFC is a tad lower as well due to the liquid cooling and the corresponding drop in thermal efficiency but it's still one hell of a powertrain. If and when power commanders and 'race' PCMs are available, it will be interesting to see the changes in power and economy. |

Hey No Rice, did you find any oil in the airbox and was your bike overfilled with oil for any duration? |

no oil in the air box, although this thing has only run maybe 10 minutes on top of what it ran at the factory. ive only started it twice. we actually had to top it off just a hair when we pulled it out of the crate. had it on the bike lift checking everything over during setup and it was a bit low(not on the kick stand) |
