Thought this link would be entertaining. Paul Brody has, or had, his own mountain bike manufacturing company (Brody Bikes). He restores and races Aeromachis and is a phenomenal welder and constructor. The link shows the steps he made to build an exact replica of an Excelsior boardtracker from a crankcase and a few pictures (since all the originals were destroyed when the Schwins quit racing them.) Cylinders were machined from billet only to make a mold with which to cast originals of iron. And so on. http://www.flashbackfab.com/pages/excel00.html And a video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=yEZUB0QEKK8 |

Looking at a Whizzer kit and the Schwinn for a board tracker, should be able to do the whole thing for 700 |
