I just filled up (at 930 miles) and logged my best mileage so far - 35.1 mpg. My lowest full tank has been 30.1 mpg. I have averaged 32.6 mpg thus far. I have found the average mpg function on the bike to be reasonably accurate. I log all my fuel purchases in a software program that I have used with my last three bikes (a program called 'For Two Wheels Only') so you can be confident my figures are accurate. This is not an economy bike, but I think mid to high 30's is achievable as it continues to loosen up. Considering the power this bike delivers, I think the economy is reasonable. Jack |

That matches my experience as well. Although I was able to get a tad over 38MPG once when I was taking it super easy - which is a very difficult thing to do. |

I've managed anywhere from 28 to 42 MPG (6th gear @ 60MPH) according to the on-board computer depending on speed, gear and of course, my right hand. Its still not fully broken in. It is getting better. My actual average has been just about 32MPG so far. This is what happens with 60mm+ throttle bodies... Just as a comparo...The K1200s is more powerful (167HP) and heavier (499Lbs) and can easily stay in the 50+MPG area while cruising in 6th gear @ 80MPH. I'll wait until after break-in to properly assess... |

My average according to the computer is 24mpg... and I believe it. Commuting via streets my mpg waivers between 11-28mpg... Highway is 15-40mpg... so far 1800miles... |

I haven't reset my Avg MPG on the console. Average since day one is 29 MPG with 1436 miles so far. It's been at 29 since about 800 miles. Zack |

FWIW: On M/C's that I have owned with trip computers, you should reset the MPG screen at each fuel stop to obtain the most accurate readings. Don't know if the 1125r operates the same but, it might be worthwhile to try. Neil S. |
