1 are battery covers available ( chrome or black ). or do i have to make something. 2 is it not advisable to cover them ? |

harleys have covers so why not a buell a battery is a battery right, not sure but you prob have to make one, i pealed the stickers off of mine and it is just flat black kinda hides away like that. blake |

Buell offered that cover for X1's, but I don't recall seeing one for an S1. The X1 piece was just black plastic with a mounting bracket but it did do wonders to clean up the appearance of the bike. |

There is a cover that should go on your battery, at least on the top (don't think there was a "box" type cover though). Stock for an S1(W) was black metal, formed to fit the top of the battery without shorting and has a depression in it for the battery strap to sit in. They are no longer available, they supersede to a chrome part. They are available, I just got a new one for my S2. "Just" meaning about three months ago, sorry I don't have the part number handy. IIRC it's a Dyna battery cover. |
