Operator error--- Try cleaning out your browser history and just typing in addy instead of using your favorites. Funny how many familiar names I see over there. |

PEBCAk, either that or your kid got ahold of your computer and put a "parental" lock on that bike site as a porn site. |

Is it a windows box? First find out if it is a DNS problem (the address book of the internet) or a problem getting to the actual site. start->run->cmd Then type: tracert www.advrider.com And tell us what it says... Should look like: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. Download mozilla or firefox or whatever alternate browser you can find and see if that will open it up for you. I used to have an issue with one site and I had to bypass their front page and go straight to a forum thread and then backup from there for the thread index. See if you can open up this internal link to one of their threads: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28 7919 |

Your local DNS functioning, at least partially. That first address is right. But your routing looks whacked. 10.1.1.5 is a private network address, you can never put that on the Internet at large. and ed-pri.smugmug.com should be at 63.81.134.23 unless they are getting creative with Akami or something. You haven't installed some sort of internet accelerator or something, have you? I dont think the problem is in your computer... at this point I would call your internet provider and try and get their help. |

I don't think it is the provider he can get to Badweb so the DNS is routing...... Sure you didn't get banned/kicked, the Jomomma crew are pretty protective.... You didn't p!ss off any beemer/ATGATT snobs did ya? Just a thought. (Message edited by slowride on January 24, 2008) |

Or they could have just banned his whole ISP address which some site owners have done with persistent problem makers thereby banning a few innocent bystanders as well. Do you have a local library or neighbor with internet access you could try to log in from and verify that you still have log-in priveledges privledges permission? |

Somebody upstream of him is routing him to a 10.x.x.x address... which is an odd way to block him. But it's possible. He appears on the net as a level 3 user... block that and you blocked a big chunk of the internet... He sees a different IP for ed-pri.smugmug.com then I see as well, but thats probably just because it is some sort of load balancing router. My suspicion is that 206.51.36.74 has a messed up routing table, but you are right in that his ISP probably can't help him with that. Somebody go reboot 206.51.36.74. |

Thanks for all of the help Guys, I am leaving for Florida tomorrow so I will try a different internet provider as I travel. I don't post very often over there and I did NOT pi** somebody off! I'll let you know what I find on the road. It's kinda like not getting into BADWEB for a couple of days... Thanks again, Dickc |

Dick, You may have a stuck DNS address. Try this: Run>cmd Once the command prompt comes up type: Ipconfig/flushdns And hit enter It should release your DNS address and allow it to point to the new address. Try that and see it it works. |

You missed the Thumper section Dave... 8 pages of people complaining how the elitist grand tourer types are disrespecting them just because they choose different motorcycles, followed by 10 more pages where those same people say if you aren't carrying and using 200 pounds of camping gear on a 250cc motorcycle, its not really touring, and that if you show up to the group ride on a twin, you will be barely tolerated... |
