I just bought a 2001 black Blast and I am thinking of painting the plastics white. Does anybody know where I can get the factory 2007 rank graphics decals? | ||

Welcome Keith! Though you didnt ask...did you know the body panels are impregnated plastic and the colour goes all the way through and that black is the most difficult color to paint white? You can buy the white body panels from the factory and sometimes white comes up on ebay. FWIW black is also the most popular colour. It might be better to sell or trade the body panels for white or yellow (to paint white). Decals can sometimes be a little pricey too, depending on what you want. There always seems to be a set on ebay or you can make your own up or go without. Just some unsolicited thoughts! | ||

PS : I've also used large RC/model airplane striping to add large amounts of a desired colour or lettering to black. | ||

Wow - thanks for all the fast replies. I did know that the color goes all the way through - but I did not know that it might be a bit hard to go from black to white I though I would use the Krylon Fusion paint and then add the factory decals. Nice to know that they are available from the dealer. The bike is for my wife and she liked the white better. But I don't really want to buy all new plastic just to change color. The black plastic is in great shape. Maybe I will try EBAY or trade. Thanks again! | ||

Hey guys, I'm brand new to the board and a new Blast owner (well, the bike's a 2002, but it's new to me!). I have a yellow one. Team ogr, I'd be willing to trade my yellow body for your black one. The body on my bike is in great condition, except for a few minor chips which can definitely be polished out. The bike only has 1600 miles on it. Let me know if you'd like to do this, because the yellow was the only thing I didn't like about the bike, and I was thinking of painting it black! | ||

Yeah, right now the only picture I have of the bike is from its ebay auction (though I did go see it in person and ride it since it was local for me). I won't be picking it up until next weekend (the weekend of Feb 1st) though, and I'll be able to take extensive photos for you then, if you're willing to wait. | ||

Great! It would be awesome if we could do the swap. Black or red were my preferred colors, but this yellow Blast was too nice and too good of a deal (and local!) for me to pass up. | ||

Yeah, you definitely can paint the plastic...if you search the board, you will find people who have done it. Anyway, you can show me yours and I'll show you mine once I get it. I'll try to take closeups of the small chips that I found on it. They definitely won't be an issue if you're going to paint. Phoebe, Well, we picked up the bike Saturday and bad news - the wife likes the black plastic! So it does not look like I will be able to trade at this time. Sorry about that. She loves the bike, however. If she changes her mind, I'll let you know. | ||

Hey guys, does anyone have the demensions of the tank graphic for the word "BUELL" a friend owns a body shop with a "sticker maker" whatever you want to call it...and he is going to do up the stickers for me but I need the hight of the letters (just one) and the overall width(length) of the word "BUELL" if anyone could measure thiers and post back that would be great...thanks | ||

Can he do full color? If so, how much for the BadWeb emblem from the front page here, about 8 inches wide? Would that mess with any copyrights? Edit: Oh--just looked. It's blue, gray, and black. (Message edited by reuel on May 20, 2008) | ||

I haven't the foggiest idea. I pulled mine off a few months after I got it. Too many people looking at it and asking, "is that a Honda?" I could just pay for shipping and handling.  | ||
