Buell's free gift this year (last year was the beanie) is a Buell neck gator! Starting February 1st, there will be a survey to take online, and it will give you a coupon to pick the gator up from your local Buell dealership. At least that is what my dealership just told me. |

But of course, they are all at the dealer meeting now. We should have a good supply of the Balaclava's, not to be confused with Baklava ;) the pastries are good to have on hand too |

Two Homecomings ago Erik saw how I had rigged a hydration bladder in my sling bag. He asked a few questions, then launched into a story about how he once got so dehydrated on a commercial shoot that he almost fell off the bike. You can count on Erik to both listen to ideas and to tell a good story. |

The other give away (yes there's another) a backpack type hydrator. Will they both be available at all dealerships? Or will it be a "Northern cold states" get the gator, "Southern warm states" get the hydrator type of split. |

Don't exactly quote me, but I believe it's a two-part goody system. One is the gator for filling out the little card or whatever, then, after that one's over, the cool hydrating what-not will be for the demo, usually starts in the spring. At least that's how it was last year. ->ChelleM |

i ALWAYS ride with a hydro pack, even in the dead of winter. I feel out of a forced march in OCS with a 40lb pack, 15 miles (training for the Crucible) temp was 28 degrees, my temp was 107, Hydrate or Die is an appropriate ad line indeed. We get those too I am sure ;) |

You can count on Erik to both listen to ideas and to tell a good story. The story he told at Larz Anderson about riding on a modified Blast with a Twin shoehorned in it still makes me chuckle. |

Erik might have been planning on doing so, but at that moment my s.o. snuck up behind him and scared the bejeebers out of him. He was too busy hiding behind me to pull off any practical joke. She was "lecturing" him on the need for a Uly that a 5'0" woman could ride. If I remember correctly, it started with her walking up behind him and yelling "You!" Then she went into her "lecture". |

Sgthigg, you could use one of those gators when you climb Mt.Fuji. Spent the night on top of Fuji back in the late 80's in August. FYI, it does rain at 12,380 ft. and it does get cold in August at that elevation. But the view is worth the climb/walk. YATYAS |

If you are in good shape its not a big deal. BUT... we found out that you aren't aloud to climb it after a certain date and it just so happened to be that day. SO at 1500 we took of for the summit. It was a race to the top to get there before the sun went down. I was the 2nd Jarhead to make it just as the sun was going down. It was amazing! I was based out of Mt.Fuji for about 3 months and it was pretty cool to have that mountain in view all the time. |

Chellem got it right. The first giveaway will be a gaiter for the online survey (February 1 'til April 15, 2008) and when that's over, the hydration pack will be for those who take a demo ride (April 15 'til June 30, 2008). We just got our shipment of gaiters today! HellBuelly J Central Texas H-D/Buell Austin, Texas "Those who deny freebies to others deserve them not for themselves." --Abuellham Lincoln |
