I have a guy that wants to sell me his Drummer, and it sounds great on his, but he has a 04-05 XB12S, I have a 9 City X. I want the can, but if it's not gonna work on my bike I really dont want to put out the money for it. I've heard that the pipe diameter is different and this would make sense considering the larger displacement and exhaust output of the 12. My plan is to keep the pipes I have and just swap the muffler. Is this muffler going to work on my bike? |

The header pipe diameters are different between a 9 and 12, but the collector diameter is the same and the muffler is interchangeable. I just swapped a Wileyco can from my 9R to my 12R with no problems. |

That certainly makes it easy. Guess I'll be buying a Drummer then... Then I get to get involved in the ECM remapping... funny how this bike keeps costing me money. I should've found a cheaper hobby, like flying airplanes. Thanks Cyclone. |

Smiley, just in case you still have any money left, you can put 12 headers on a 9 too. You get a little bump, cause the 9 headers are a restriction point. I was going to do that to my XB9R, but let it go to my brother and got an 1125R. Of course, you get to re-map again... Z |

Guy backed out on me. Guess I won't get to have all that fun with putting it on and remapping after all. Damn. |
