Anyone in a warmer part of the country actually taken a trip on a 1125r? I saw my first one at Carolina Coast H-D in Wilmington NC. It was pre-sold long before delivery. Jerry McCumby Carolina Shores NC |

I have ridden a couple of hundred miles and find the bike comfortable, I also plan on touring with the bike, have gps and a small tank bag and will be getting more items as I get money which is not flowing that well so will take time and should be done by the spring, will be posting pictures as I make changes to the bike, but I find if I sit right I can ride far, I have a problem with my tail bone and this is a bike that does not bother my tail bone at all, and Al at American sport bike is making risors for the bike that will make the bar one inch higher and one inch back but I do not think I will need this. did a little over 600 miles to bring mine home from Atlanta. only problem was r/h wrist from the constant on/off throttle technique i used for break-in. deluxe tankbag stuffed full kept me from tucking in at high speed, started at 45 deg, misty grey and overcast. finished at 60 deg and rain. no wrist issues on 25-110 mile rides so far. planning to ride to Barber for AMA races-410 miles and homecomeing in July-900+, Indy for MotoGp in sep-830 miles. tim |

Jerry - Carolina Harley in Gastonia has one setting on the show room floor. They called me on Wednesday to let me know, but I've had mine for 2 weeks already. |

Thanks Spectrum. I'm not really in the market yet. Carolina Coast HD said they could have me one pretty quickly |

With "beemer" in you name I might assume you have knowledge of BMW bikes. So for reference, I sold a BMW R1100S to get the 1125R. Although I have 2K miles on the 1125 in one month of ownership, I've not taken any trips with it. I took plenty of trips on the R1100S. As a matter of fact the BMW saw 30 odd states while I had it. As far as traveling on the 1125R, the comfort and ergos are very similar to the R1100S. The BMW is set up for traveling with the bag system. The 1125R is not set up in such way from the factory, but there are after market soft and hardbag alternatives. I plan on traveling with my 1125R as I did with the R1100S Asbjorn |
