Makes me so sad that my parents sold our 70 Road Runner when gas hit 85 cents a gallon because it was too expensive to keep. |

Now, 38 years from now, do you think there will be any year 2000 cars selling at an auction for big bucks like that? I mean cars that started out life at a resonable cost, not Lambo's and Ferrari's and such, cars that just appriciated like that. (Message edited by Mikef5000 on January 19, 2008) |

Yeah, I think there a couple limited Shelbys, Gt-40s, maybe the new Cuda, that will touch gonzo money. Look at the 84-87 Buick Grand National. THAT thing was an instant classic and is a class A bia-tch to get in decent shape and a reasonable price today. |

Who's buying this stuff? Are these prices because nobody's got any confidence in Wall St anymore or something? Sure That Plym' is tasty, but when the guy's paid the comission on it & taxes it's going to be what? $340-350k? over a third of a million! & that's before he even talks to his insurance company. If I owned that I'd never drive it, I'd be too sh*t scared of it being damaged to enjoy it, I'd rather have a beater & buy a couple of houses with the rest! |
