Dang, I should check in here more often! Kev, I hear that the R tail swap can be a royal pain. Sure the stuff bolts right on, but most of the problems come trying to cram all the electrics in there, but it can, and has been done. And it does look good! Mel, I'm a little partial to VIR and Cornerspeed(that's the school I went to). BUT I'm open to a new track. You pick the time and place, and I'm in!! Van, Dang dude that sucks. Get better soon! Mike, This is the only Duc pond I could find http://www.ducpond.com/ and this is where it's located...
You beat me to it, I see! (Message edited by Tank_Bueller on January 18, 2008) |

I finally made it to see the 1125R out in HRHD. I have to admit it isn't bad. I wonder how much it'll cost to upgrade? |

Who wants to go riding? It's a very balmy 25F OUT!!!!! HAHAHA! Just thought I would update you all. Apparently SSHD is waiting on a bearing and then the Blast will be back in one piece. In the meantime I'll be heading down to Daytona, once again, for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. So, if you find yourself watching the race, root for TRG! Brett |

H_ll with all that prizer money you can buy the 1125R that's in stock at SSHD HAHA! If I had enough to race the 24, I would hope to have enough money to buy an 1125R! And if I didn't I would trade in one of those Rolex's for sure! I'm an independent staff member of TRG, this year I'm responsible for the pit setup. I'm not sure if I'll be in the HOT pits, but I have a feeling I'll be the Fireman. Thanks for the wishes, and I'll try to get some bike photos while I'm down there. Brett |

Hey, Anyone in the market for a pretty new XB12R, I am waiting for SSHD to give me a quote to see if I can trade it in, but I might do better selling it on my own. It has a few scuffs, but that is it and it only has 2600 miles on it. I may or may not throw in the com system that I have on it. Dave |

Dang Dave. You went from "stopping by to check it out" to "I'm selling/trading my bike" pretty freakin' quick there. Got it bad, huh? |

Yep, The more I thought about it, the extra 46 hp kept calling me. Besides, like I said before, it was my first choice but it wasn't out and my wife got it as a birthday present, so I had to take it. Now I am addicted to the buells. I wish I could have both, but I don't make that much money. Dave |

Dave I'm glad your Bolt is black and red , cause if it was the white and blue Bolt I would be trying to figure out how to manage 2 bike payments and where to store it in my garage. Good luck on the purchase and you do know they have an 1125R in SSHD (Message edited by S1wmike on January 23, 2008) |

I never did like the Lighter colors, but they are looking into it the trade option now, they have sold the 2 that they had. So it'll be a minute. Dave |

They still have one 1125R in stock at HRHD...I just went by there today and had a look. If I didn't just buy the XB9SX, I would seriously consider getting the 1125R. One day... |

Since all my paperwork is at SSHD, I figured that it would be an easier process. If it is doable, I would assume they would get the one from HRHD. Dave |

Does anyone have a tire changer? I was looking at the No-Mar and it looks nice. http://www.nomartirechanger.com/index.html I am trying to figure out a way to sell momma on it. |

Hey Kev... My dad does, We would just have to take it all the way to Chesterfield to get it done. I need to go up that way anyhow. I'll check to see when is a good time to get it done this weekend or so. You can ride up with me or just leave it with me. Let me know. Mel |

Kev. I take mine to RedLine. No scratches or chips on the gold rims...gauranteed. They took before and after pics to prove it. It wasn't cheap, but they do nice work. I expected a chip or two, but the rims were cleaner than when I left them. No affiliation, just a very satisfied customer. When you get stuff back better than you left it, it deserves mention. |

Well the tire is in the mail. Should be here next week hopefully. Momma let me splurge a little bit so along with the tire I bought a Teknic Rage leather jacket and denim riding pants, Alpinestars gloves and some Lockhart Philips Bat rays led turn signals for the back. I'm gonna go with some fresh paint too...shiny black with a copper flake to match the wheels. I think its gonna be pretty trick. Tank- That sounds great bro. Where is Chesterfield? Once I get my tire mounted its on like Donkey Kong! I never checked at Redline for the change. HRHD is $75 and Casey Cycle is $40. |

It was around $80 last time I was in there... ...BUT, I had a bit of a complicated swap. I had one bad black rear wheel(spun bearing)with good Corsa, to be put on good silver rear wheel w/bad tire. And I had 2 pristine bare gold wheels and new Corsa III's to be put on them. The tire changer must have gotten confused(I was), because he mounted the tires on the gold rims perfectly, but the one on the silver wheel was backwards. They fixed it in about 5min, no problem. |

I was confused...dehr. Mel- what's the turnaround with your dad's place? I'm gettin her painted on my next 4-day weekend. All my stuff should be here this week. Worst case I can go to HRHD. I wasn't impressed with the personnel at Casey. check out this jacket...pretty cool especially for $250! http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=2215 (Message edited by kmfw160 on January 28, 2008) |

Hey Kev, Same day... (lol) He's a crabby 'ol Harley Dude, but he's always in the Garage-mahal either working on one of the Jag's or fabing a new thingey for his "56 Pan Head. The Tire Changer is just sitting there, waiting. My wife was just reminding me that we need to go up there tonight. When you get the tire in let me know. I'll arrange to pick it up or you can drop it off. Either way we can make something happen. Hell, if it's the middle of the week and you can get a Kitchen Pass for a couple of hours we can just ride up and take care of it. It's about an hour away. |

Good news guys! I'm back from Daytona, the team pulled a 2, 3, 4 in class and 10, 11, 12 overall! It was an amazing event. I'm glad that it's over with, but I'm sure it will be hard for me to wait for it soon enough. On top of that, my bike is FIXED! Apparently the front isolator was bad, that translated bad vibes to the rear mount and broke the bolts. Its also what caused the rocker box leak. So, after two isolators, a crankcase, a gearshaft bearing, oil, a filter, and some assorted gaskets and washers later, the bike is running smoothly again. I also got to put my butt on the 1125R. Boy, was that dangerous. That sales guy Jarad is one slick salesman. But, he did convince me to come back on the 9th. Apparently there will be a demo bike available along with some festivities and sales and whatnot. I'm about 90% sure I'll be going, so I think I'll post up a meet in the "rides" thread. Mel, sounds like your pop has a tough life. Enough tools to get pretty much anything done on a bike AND Jaguars to wrench on? Yeah, thats the hard knock life right there lol. Kev, nice jacket man. And I can't wait to see the bike after all the tinkering you've been jabbering about. |

got my jacket and pants. The Teknic pants are pretty open at the legs...I mean bell bottoms.lol. I'm probly gonna have them tailored to be not-so-big. The Rage jacket is awesome! I ordered a Gmax helmet too.(momma chewed me out for all this money I'm spending) http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/g max/gm68s/ no worries, I'm poor again except I paid a bunch of bills off. woohoo |

Well we made it to Mel's dad's house Sat morning and man what a long ride, plus my kids raising hell in the back seats didn't help either.lol It was well worth it though, Mac's place is awesome. We all need to make that a stop sometime due to the roads being nicely twisted. |
