How soon do you think we will see the "bigger" aftermarket parts? You know, exhaust and headers... I would imagine some people will be interested in changing the sound of their bike. Or, is the stock muffler sound that good? Haven't heard an 1125R running yet. |

1125R Sounds best when it zips by around 110mph. Watch the videos on the Buell site. It really sounds that way. |

Interesting! I had a D&D on my Lightning and I (opinion!) thought it was one of the best sounding exhaust for a Buell. Thanks for the info. Anybody else have leads on others? Drummer? Micron? Jardine? |

I'm sure that aftermarket accessories will follow very shortly after the bike becomes available to work on. As yet we haven't even got firm delivery dates here in Europe, so can't start work on anything really. Much of the bodywork is interchangeable with XB stuff, so that won't be a problem to change. Exhausts and headers may be a longer proposition, especially for us in Europe with Catalysts as standard. Any aftermarket muffler will have to include the Cat if it is to be road legal, and this will add to the development time and retail price. A simple 'race' muffler would be easier and I believe we will see a choice of these from major manufacturers very soon on that front (none too soon either given the stock pipes 'interesting' looks). |

This looks like a good thread to put in a plug for www.XBLights.com Just got my custom LED taillight from Robert(Rah7777777) and it's gorgeous! Clear lens, run, turn, brake and license plate light, all integrated into a stock housing and sealed. Really cleans up the rear end lines. I'll get some pics outside once it warms up.
The Stop light is VERY BRIGHT. Images are:run, stop, left turn and license; had to stop the camera way down, because the light is so bright, it was washing out at a normal exposure. Thanks Robert, I love it! Zack |

BAR RISERS ! This will increase the number of potential buyers considerably. I have an LSL handlebar conversion (www.spieglerusa.com for photos) and Vortex adjustable rearsets on my ZX-10R. The ergonomics are like a Bandit, FZ-1, Z1000, etcetera. Yes, it changes the aerodynamics, but well worth it if you like 'relaxed fit' ergos. Dave Bradenton FL |

Here's where I was headed, but didn't think I'd get done this quick. Before
After
Profile
The license bracket is 14ga stainless that I cut out and rolled. The cover I hand fitted(not quite finished there) out of 1/8th inch aluminum that I also rolled, then beat to get the compound curves. Bolts needed compensating washers, so I made them out of some thick walled aluminum tubing and fine tuned the angles with a file. Now I'm happy with Loretta's rear end. Z |

My bike's WAY dirtier than yours, Zac. Don't worry, summer's almost here. The roads here in north west Oregon are pretty much dirt roads at this point. Trees falling, wind blowing, snow, ice, fog, sanding the ice and that nasty, sticky deicer they're using now. No possible way to keep a bike clean... Except not ride it in Bad Weather, which is not an option for me! JJ And I've washed it 3 times already! (Message edited by Sheridan_Bueller on January 18, 2008) |

Hey - I just gave her a sponge bath after the last ride. Power washer is just to her left, but that won't get used till Summer. Just the Windex and a towel for now. The muffler looks better dirty. 19˚ now, if it doesn't get much colder by daybreak, I'll ride. Haven't ridden since the 15th, I'm having withdrawals. Z |

REALLY NICE. Are you sure Loretta is not next of kin to Dolly P. (5'0" 40-20-36)? Although Loretta looks closer to 40-20-34 with the "rear-end" surgery. Time2 R&R Neil S. |

I've got bar risers on the cad system right now. They'll be a little while yet, I only get to work them in the evening, but I'm making good progress. And my 1125R top triple tree cam in and got dropped off at the shop yesterday to get the exact dimensions captured. Soon. On the tail light, I've put one of the 9038 (http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9038.html) on mine, but instead of using amber integrated turn signals, I had it built special with red. And instead of wiring them to the turn signal circuit, I hooked BOTH sides to a brake light modulator. When I put on the brakes, the folks behind me KNOW IT!!! Al |

Hey Richard - have you gotten road splash on the inside of your windshield too or is it just me? I want a front fender with a longer tail, like an old sporty, or 70s Triumph. I need to power wash the front. badly, but it's too cold yet. Loretta's had several sponge baths in the garage Z |
