Tried to get to my plug and measure it, Mike. I'm curious too, still don't know which is hi-lo. I just clik to the first setting and when it's too hot, turn it off. I'll have to pull the fairing, but tomorrow's supposed to be almost 50. The high for Wednesday, tho, is only 20 something - I'm not riding in that. I'll pull the fairing and measure them. Z |

I'm not sure which is hi or low either, but I suspect the single dot is high, and the double dot is low, as odd as that sounds. I also suspect that with grips, vest ( 50 watt) and hi beams running, I am darn near at the capacity of my charging system, if not past it. Not sure of that either, though. I had my bike not start after sitting for 4 days. I then took it to the dealer, after charging it at 10 amps for 1 1/2 hour. They installed the CA cat muffler, and they tested the battery, said it needed a day on the trickle charger there, and that the voltage and load test on the battery was good after that. The charging system seemed to test good, they said it was putting out 14.6 volts. Seems to be fine after that, but hasn't sat more than a day since. |

Odd, no doubt Bigblock, There's my confusion too. Grip kit instructions don't say which either, hmm. I will measure that and whatever else I can, tomorrow after work when I pull the fairing. Z |

While looking at the Ulysses on the Buell site it was stated that the grips run 18 watts each on high (36 watts) and 11 watts each on low (22 watts). This is about on par with all the other heated grips I've seen. My Polly heaters run the same wattage. On Edit: they don't say how many amps but I would guess a 3 amp draw like the other grips on the market. (Message edited by metalstorm on January 27, 2008) |

Watts / Amps x Volts 36 Watts would be 2.5-2.8 Amps depending on charging system voltage. |
