75 DAYS!!! |

I'm a maybe. Will probably tent camp if I go, cheaper, and less need to reserve in advance. (just need to sell a couple of houses first) Will probably trailer the bike down if I go, need to test fit the bike to see if I need to take the sides off of the trailer. And now I've got some procrastinated maintenance to do on the bike before this. Is this like a track day where you'll need a good 85% tire tread????? I probably should find some riding pants too, otherwise it's assless chaps (and nobody wants to see that). |

Mike, It is not like a track day, better than 50% is a good idea though. The ass-less chaps will do as long as you wear pants! No need to reserve camping space. It is kinda like a family reunion with cousins you never met and they all happen to be really enthusiastic about Buells(which makes it better than any family reunion). Tires; smokem' if you gottem'!! |

Grew up out west so am used to the no runoff area in the hills. Been to enough Buell Homecomings to understand the family reunion with cousins. Will be checking over the bike this weekend and making a shopping list. |

It looks like the Iowa/Minnesota contingent is getting together. So far it's me, BluzM2, Norice is inquiring about it and a couple of other riding buddies. Gearhead will probably be itching to ride his 1125, so maybe I can shame him into coming. |

North Georgia does bad things to tires:
The fresher the better. I killed a Strada at 1800 miles in Suches. |

When ya gonna use the rest of that tire? |

Oh, it died a horrible death. That was the front. Here's the rear:
That set made about 2200 miles. They pave the GA roads with razor blades and crushed knitting needles. Great for traction, but the roads eat tires. Then again 750lbs of combined rider/bike weight add a frictional component that isn't good on tires. |

He likes to preserve those little tits on the edges of his chicken strips. Of course his ham fisted knees probably drag before the bike gets that far over! The opinion expressed here may have been influenced by a new hard drive on my 'puter and I can only apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. |

Oh, it died a horrible death I can't wait to kill a few this year at the track..... I'd get a lot more racing in if work wouldn't keep getting in the way! |

Yeah, I hear tires wear better when they actually remain in contact with the road surface I was doing a experiment on the limits of traction... I found the limit... about 4 times last year... experiment complete... I hope... |

Anyone coming from the Houston area? So far the H-Town contingent consists of two Buelligans and we'd be happy to have more. We'll be trailering our bikes and probably staying in a motel in Dahlongea. If any Texans want to convoy with us, send me a PM as apparently I have been elected to orchestrate our little three-ring circus/road trip. If anyone wants to ride there but could use a support vehicle, we'd be glad to do that too. I'd imagine we'll probably take turns riding our bikes along the way, so you'd have company. We just wanted to bring our tools, parts, and gear and have a place to lock the bikes up at night. |

Right now we're planning on leaving at the butt-crack of dawn on Friday morning. I'd really like to leave Thursday morning, but my buddy is having trouble getting the time off work. If you guys want to hook up you're more than welcome. Just send me a PM and we'll get together and talk about it. |

Hey Smoke, sounds like a plan. I think we've decided we're going to be leaving Thursday right after work and will be there Friday morning early. If anyone needs gear hauled or if you just want company on the trip let me know. |

Should we start an online registration section so that we have a central place for email and phone numbers for everyone? |

Would they have to be broken down into groups? Such as "Fairly normal weight", " Lost weight", "Didn't try very hard", and " Can't believe I weigh this much". This is pertinent information on this thread, as there has been a promise of weigh in on the porch at TWO. |

Anyone have a count of how many people are coming this year? More than last year....does that help? Roll call folder up top. Will get a tally for you in a few days. |
