So an Anonymous said: "It's a connector right under the fairing bracket that you can plug in electrical accessories without breaking into or modifying the wiring harness." I looked over an 1125R today and couldn't find it. I know the XBs have it behind the flyscreen (which you have to remove to access the plug) but where is it on the 1125R and where can we get the plugs to use our own accessories? | ||

Is this where the Factory heated grips get power? also, Zac--were you the one who said that the throttle grip gets super hot and the other grip doesn't get much heat at all. | ||

No, somebody else. I saw it too, don't recall tho. Both my grips get hot, seems like the first notch is hotter. The first was hot enough that I kept turning it on and off . Yes the factory grips plug in to it and have an extra piggyback, so you still have an "accessory plug" when you're done. There's a dummy cover in it, press the tang and pull the dummy out. Save it for the plug on the grip kit harness. You'll have to remove the fairing. Hindsight says: Remove the 2 nuts on the mirrors, unplug the signal wires and remove. THEN remove the 2 screws at the bottom and carefully remove the fairing. Follow the Firebolt instructions for the rest. Helps to use cutting oil for the left grip's screw holes. Handlebars are tough, there were chips stuck to my bit - Stainless? Good luck to any installers, it's worth the trouble. Z | ||

Use a flashlight to peer through the windscreen. Look near the bottom of the windscreen where it comes to a point. That's how I found mine. | ||
