Anybody know what is considered acceptable run out for a 2000 spec. 9 pin front brake rotor? |

The ultimate symptom is excessive brake lever travel. The warped rotor will press the pistons back in the caliper, and too much of your brake lever travel is used to simply move them through space again. So if you are just worried about drivability, just rotate the front wheel a few times and see how much brake lever travel you then need to lock it. But the spec is probably in the service manual. I bet its the same as for the older S1's, and there is a PDF of the service manual for that buried somewhere here on badweb. |

Jut like Bill said there was s significant change to the Buell front brakes in 2000 which, although the manual (P/N 4490-00Y) covers both years, prompted separate chapter for 1999 and 2000. You said 9 pin 2000, so I'd offer the following:

Reep & Court- Thanks for the guidance, it's just what I was looking for. The lateral measurement is movement from inside to outside wobble observed from the front of the bike? Is radial movement the distance change from the center of the axle to the outer edge of the rotor? Rotational movement is play in the drive pins? |
