I have an honest question, why would someone do this? Now I don't want this question to be taken as criticism, I am honestly curious in why people tattoo corporate logos on themselves. |

it's not like they're advertising. i think a tattoo should be something of significance. maybe buell means a lot to these guys. i thought about getting some ink done, then i checked my wallet. so what it's a copyrighted corporate logo, it's in their skin!! any ways, it's not like these tattoos will last for ever........ just until they die. |

Everytime I see a corporate or copyrighted logo on someone now I think of William Macy in Wild Hogs, "What are you going to do? It's in my skin bitch!" LMAO |

corporatemonkey: so here it is i don't take any of my ink lightly now adays...i've got enough bad stuff on me to last a lifetime. now that i'm older i get things that mean alot to me as a stamp of whats gone on in my life. i didn't get this to advertise for buell, i have alot of pride in my bike but this tat for me signifies the community(Buell community)that i have become part of and have much respect for. the majority of buell owners and badwebbers are some of the most passionate motorcyclists anyone will ever meet, not to mention some of the most helpful when you're in a bind and i am proud to be part of that. it also represents friends that i have made because of being a buell owner and badweb member(NEBO crew). so why get a corporate logo? to me this is much more than just a corporate logo and if you took my BUELL away tomorrow i'd be pissed but i would not regret my ink because it represents more to me then just a motorcycle company. |

Thank you for answering my question honestly. It just seems too many people get tattoos for lackluster reasons. |

I agree with you Corporatemonkey. I'll never say anything against someone if they want ink, heck it's your body do with it what you want. I do however wonder about a pic I saw years ago in a tat magazine. A guy had tattooed a giant big mac, you know way back when they were in the stryofoam cartons on the base of his neck and under it it said BIG MAC DADDY. I wonder how he feels about that tat today. Not dogging it, I would just like an update persay. |

I have a "friend" who drinks Crown Royal whiskey and his last name is Clowes. So, on the front of his neck, large, is tattooed the Crown Royal logo with the purple pillow and the bottle, but it's altered to say "Clowes Royal" This same genius has the words "Your Sucking" tattooed over his genital area, supposedly to be read by an intended audience. I told him it was misspelled and should say "You're Sucking", and he threw a fit because neither him or the guy who did the artwork were smart enough to use the proper word. To each his own, he still thinks it's funny, I think it's stupid, but it's no more stupid than having "Nancy" tattooed on your chest, especially when your wife's name is Margaret.

especially when your wife's name is Margaret. Ouch! I have a friend who rides a hugemongus chopper (11' end to end) that has a dragon tattooed on the left side of his head and wraps around to the base of his neck. We were at a gas station at Chillicothe Oh. (Closest Easyriders event, which should explain alot) anyway all our bikes were thumping and a guy pulls up and has to yell over all the bikes. Comments on my friends tat then exclaims, "I just got my johnson done last week." We left on that note. |

I always thought it'd be cool to get one, I've just never figured out what I like enough to wear permanently. Not to mention, I'd have to draw it out myself and hope the artist could do a good rendition. I was an art major... couldn't stand to have someone else's design on me! ~SM |

While in San Antonio, TX, I spotted a guy at a gas station with a set of horns tattooed on his forehead. I know Texans like their cows, and are big into the cowboy thing, but horns on your forehead? I think I laughed all the way to Austin, thinking about that Tat... |

And what are you doing while reading his tattoo for the intended audience? LOL I guess I walked into that one... answer: standing there shaking my head with the rest of the 8 or 9 people he was showing it off to. |

I've thought about getting ink, but there are simply some things you have to do by a certain age or you miss you window. I've got a buddy who hasn't gotten into a real fight. He carries it around with him. He wouldn't start a fight, and getting into a fight at his age seems silly. So he missed his window. Speaking of tattoos, I have a buddy who worked for Merrill Lynch when he first got out of college. He's got an ML bull tattoo on his ankle. I give him crap about it. "How many companies have you worked for since Merrill?" Seriously considering a 3% tattoo. Simple yet meaningful. |

I had the pegasus logo put in with a tribal band. My wife gave me crap about having a logo done, but it's not about the company. The Buell brand is what got me into motorcycling. An S2 was my first bike, and I've had a couple more since then. I've done things like the Carving the North East tour that I wouldn't have done had I not been riding a Buell. For me, it's about tribute to something that has made me who I am.
