Ok. I'm 25. So I was hoping to get some people close to my age to put up what they're paying for insurance (full coverage) for the 1125R. Trying to get an idea. (yeah, the bug bit)

I'm 25, in Colorado w/ perfect driving record and I'm paying $500/yr full coverage w/ my wife on the policy. Colorado changed the uninsured/underinsured motorist laws on Jan 1, 2008, so that portion of the insurance for motorcycles is going up. Even so, I'm paying less on a 2008 1125R than I was on a 2005 Lightning Scg.

Full coverage was out of reach, even with an excessive deductible.
Progressive wanted $3k for 250 ded and $2k for $1k ded. I said no thanks.
I got just "legal liability" for an extra 98 bucks a year and called it good.

I prefer to get something for my money, instead of flushing it down the insurance toilet.

YMMV

Folks....do yourself a favor and ring up Sentry Insurance (aka Dairyland). They are really cheap, have worked with Buell to lower rates, and are a sponsor of Buell racing. : )

Seriously, they are a good insurance company and the cheapest I've found.

Well, I've been with Allstate since I got insurance, and they have yet to do me or my family wrong. I'll pay a tad more for the service I've received thus far.

With that said. Called them and gave them a vin from an 1125R. $800 a year for the same coverage that my XB9SX has. Not to bad. This is full coverage btw. Now the wheels are turning.

Although, here's an odd part. The show the bike as a 1203cc XB12Ss. I was talking to a friend that works at Gainesville HD and he said this is a normal problem right now being the bike is new. He's had a few people tell him this with their insurance companies.
