ive owned an 01 X-1 and an 00 M-2 in the past... a couple of weeks ago, i decided to find an S-3 tuber to play around with... currently i own an 07 roadking and an 07 streetbob... i was sitting around last night, thinking about how tired i am of living in this damn two horse town..... im single again and the women here are from hell... i need to sell my place, but the realestate market is dead and even if it wasnt, i owe too much money to qualify for a new place.. i have decided to cut my losses and sell both of my harleys and ride a buell for the forseeable future... my pals think i have lost touch with reality, as im going to lose a bunch of money in the sale (im upside down into the obscene category).... the bottom line is, that the harleys are going on ebay the end of the month and im getting the hell out of dodge... |

here is what you do. Sell your house and buy a large garage on a small parcel of land and live Like Burt Monroe! I'll buy you a lemon tree |

Googled it from some French site. Going to be the only way I can afford to retire, sittin' in the garage playing with a bike. |

Smart move on the bikes. I have had a 96 FLHP for years and it's a comfy bike. Bought a 98 S1W about 2 years ago, got re-hooked on Buells (originally owned a 99 M2 new, but sold for insurance reasons...too many driving awards on the molten orange radar target). Bought an S2 this past spring. I think I've ridden the FLHP five times since then. Sorry about the upside-down part though. Maybe you'll make enough on the house sale to pay them off first? I know..not in this market, but your area shouldn't be *totally* dead. My folks live in St Augustine and its slow down there, but stuff is still moving. Just not over-inflated like a couple years ago is all. Tell your naysaying buddies you want to be able to stop and turn instead of just making noise, LOL. |

back in 2003, i used to ride by the WRECK bar on daytona beach and there was usually a pearl white S-2 parked out front... maybe it belonged to someone on this forum... i have had a longing for a bike like that ever since... about a year later, i saw this same bike forsale at the bmw dealership.... i went home and slept on it and went back the next day to buy it and it was gone.. |

Funny, I was just at the DC IMS show, and one of the vendors (sells bike chocks) was using his personal pearl white S2 as a display bike. 16k miles, good overall condition, left lever broken from that wonderful S2 sidestand ;) Nice guy, he said he also has an X1. Was amazed I rode to the show. It was nearly 50 degrees. <sigh> |

The economy as a whole is going down the drain. Especially in Florida! I'd sell all I could and get out of the state. I'm in South Florida and the only reason I am still here is because I don't want to take a pay cut when I move. |

i fled south florida years ago... im only 35 miles south of georgia... if i still lived in south florida, i dont think i would even ride anymore... i do like the daytona area... realestate there is the worst, however.. |

I too have lived all over the state of Florida. I have been in South Florida for about 4 years now and want out! I would move up to the Flagler/Ormond area if I could. I do not enjoy the riding down here any longer, among "other" things. |

My wife wanted us to consider moving there. I reminded her that a) my parents, her in-laws, live there, and b) the roads suck for riding compared to living in the mountains. I like curves, I like hills....the only hills in FL are the bridges! I think it was the in-law bit that persuaded her to stay up here.
