hi, i have a 96 s1 with aftermarket clipons. to install bar end mirrors, do i have to remove the rubber grips? and if so, how do they come off? Can i just cut the rubber off the end of the bar that covers the ends? thanks dan...p.s. if i dont go with bar end mirrors, but want to get rid of the lolipop round mirrors, any suggestions on after market mirrors that fit the stock mirror hole? and what size is the hole? thank again |

Red: A little compressed air will remove the grips easily--make sure your clip-ons have holes in the ends that will accomodate your mirrors before you start cutting on anything! rt |

In most places, DOT laws say you have to have mirrors. The way I ride, I don't give them any more excuses to meet with me on the shoulder than I have to, LOL. |

I always stick a screwdriver under the grips and squirt some water in, they slip off easy then. I've got some MCS black chrome daggers good view out of em, and look way better than the stocky's---10mm thread, but you get 2 sizes with em.

I simply drilled a hole and a thread into my bar end turn signals, to make those good looking, functional and inexpensive mirrors fit.
