I loved looking over the 1125, especially the cutaways, of both the 12R and the 1125. The only thing missing was a display of the 1125 gages that we could play with to see all the modes and stuff. Just an idea. |

That's all you'd need is a trickle charger on one of the display bikes to keep the battery up and pull the headlight fuse. |

All the shows I have done don't allow you to have the battery connected at all. |

Idea passed on to marketing . . . who thought it was very cool. Thanks ! P.S. - Pammy is correct. . no show will allow a battery. It'd be run off a 120/12VDC transformer just light the lights in the displays. Very easy. |

I wish there was a way to get an IMS in my area, it would be nice to see. It would also be better seeing the gauge cluster at work in a controlled environment, instead of on a curvy road during a testride. (Message edited by cochise on January 09, 2008) |

I still can't believe there wasn't a show scheduled somewhere in FL. I guess MI is a larger bike haven than FL! |

More thought on the display. Just take some recorded track data. Playback through the ECU from a laptop and whala. Functional display with real data. Should of put this in the first post. |

How about a carousel with 3 sets of bars around it . . . . each with a display and an instrument pod and a chance to take a 4 mile "fiddle with the instruments" cyber-ride? |

By the way . . . the thing I like about it is that ANY interactive "hands on" stuff at a geek-laden IMS show draws people. Sales, resulting from IMS exposure, a function of traffic numbers and contacts made. Someone. . . .while your paws are on those bars . . has 45 seconds to say something nice to you to "spin" your association with the word BUELL and, in that slice of time, make YOU IMAGINE YOU AT THE CONTROLS OF YOUR BIKE. Painting personal pictures. First we covet. |
