You talking the ECM programming? DOS? Not at any time in the XBRR program since it's been out to the public has it been programmed with the older style Kimball/DOS system. It's all the new Windows interface and gives you real-time feedback on TP and RPM bands while you're running. Handy for dyno work. Much easier than the DOS program. YOu can open a window for each cylinder and see exactly which block of TP/RPM values the engine is "reading" at any one instant. The other nifty thing is you can "build" your own working window which can have the normal values you might want to read and/or change such as system voltage, temperatures, and inputs such as global fuel. Much more workable system than the DOS. just as many controls but USABLE! |

Jim - Didn't mean to sound bitchy. Hope you guys get one of them to play with up there. I'm going to have to get a new module and Windows controller since my crash has even destroyed my ECM!!! |

Wow. You know it was a hard crash if you killed an ECM! |

Tony - Direct Link is a good idea. I'm looking into it or ECM spy. ECMSpy looks to be putting Direct Link outta business. The only things left on the bike that are usable are the engine internals. Because of the money of the replacement, I have missed almost a year of racing by the time the bike comes back together in March or April. Bike tumbled at about 125 MPH and everything that was bolted to anything else is torn apart - including every single engine mount. Only usable stuff are engine internals. Have a replacement XB9R from a buddy who blew his engine. Perfect. Now work starts again. Money was a bear at first then Year end at work tied me up... only now starting to get time again. I still go out for every race every month and am helping Glendale and Bartels with tuning their XBRRs |
