Have a chance to buy a clean 77 r75 BMW with 52,000 mile from the original owner. Fairing and removable hard saddle bags are in great shape. Has spoke wheels. could use a set of tires. Can get it for 2,000.00 I'm not familiar with prices on mid 70's bmw's. If it was a r100 i already would have bought it. Does this sound about right? too High? or good buy? Looks to be well maintained, tires are just getting hard and worn. |

I checked with my "Airhead" friend and he says that price sounds about right if it's in decent condition. |

I got me a 73 R75\5. I think $2k is a good price as well. Grab it while you can. A little resto and you can sell it for a couple thou more. I've seen some nice ones go for about $5k. |

2k is just about right. Try to do a leakdown test on the cylinders if you can. Should tell you alot about the motor. Just so you'll know. |

i used to have a 52 bmw r51 that i loved.just got out of them when i sold it. this one has a windjammer style fairing that is actually stock bmw. removable hard bags that look like suitcases. silver paint, spoke wheels. the paint and general condition is really good. the old guy used to long distance ride it. |

I just gave away my old R90/6 to Damnut for $200. with 49k miles. It also had the factory "Luftmeister" fairing. At speed the engine reminded me of a sewing machine. But my wife crashed it and it now needs fork attention. I paid $1500 for it from my mom when it was perfect.Reliable machines to be sure |

Ducxl - I would have given you $250.00, a pound of linguica, and dinner at Tweets! If that wasn't enough a couple of stuffies! It would be fun to cafe an old air head. Plenty of parts around. Bob's BMW has bunch of air head stuff on line. |

Sounds like a good price, I have a friend that has one, he went around the world once.... 2 up and is now at the bottom of South America on it 2 up again. He said it has 1/2 million miles on it and has not been apart! |
