I'm going to have to put in for vacation now. This has the potential to be better than a three ring circus in Las Vegas. |

I'm with you Mike. This could well be a 'can't miss it' event. Jim Nance,,,,when are you leaving for this one? |

That doesn't look like an "official" Buell t-shirt to me, it certainly isn't the anniversary logo that we've seen thus far from Buell. Is it an officially licensed product? I'm wary of the cheapo shirts that I've seen people get off of ebay. |

It says - Milwaukee 1962-2002 40th Anniversary Some logo I've never seen in the center Never seen the tire& wings with Buell before either. Don't see "Buell" anywhere. Z |

Milwaukee Mile I'd guess. . . . nothing whatsoever to do with Buell. |

Blake, I would probably bring one of our Bonnevile bikes but not the Nitro bike. Thats all i will say as it is a new build which we have not decided on all the parts yet. But first we need to know if there even is going to be a dyno shootout otherwise it is a waste of time to bring the bike. (Message edited by buelliedan on December 31, 2007) |

And do you believe that, the powers that be, don't think this will be much bigger than 2007 Homecoming? |

I'm glad you pointed that out... I had no idea it was 25 years and not 40 http://www.buell.com/en_us/news_events/newsdetail. asp?news_id=1275 |

Its not the Milwaukee Mile, that dates back to about 1903. The Mile has been holding races since before the Indy 500. Maybe a race held at the Mile? Definately not Buell. Anybody ask the seller what's up? I thought it may be Summerfest, but the logo isn't anywhere close to their 40th anniversary art. (Message edited by buellinachinashop on January 03, 2008) |

I think it's a Holoubek anniversary shirt. They used to produce tees for Buell...I woudln't be surprised if they used a leftover blank that had a Buell neck label. Also, Holoubek makes tees for Harley and they were bought out by VF ImageWear. |

Vern Holubeck was perhaps the single greatest beneficiary of HD's turnaround and success. I have a hilarious story, set in a dingy SoHo bar with David Crosby and Kirsteen Britten, about his son Todd. |

Dan, my bike does certainly run on pump gas. My corrected compression is 9 to 1. That being said, would I enter a Dyno competition without using all the help that is available to me? Heck no. I wouldn't enter a boxing competition with one hand tied behind my back either. My goal would be to win. I can only assume that would be your goal as well. We have a bike that has just arrived in California, today, for the Teresi dyno shoot out finals. We are number one in the United States, but we come in force and well prepared anyway. You can't take anything for granted. If you do you will lose...that's the way it goes. Well, not meaning to get into a pissing contest.... Homecoming sounds like fun. When is it? I don't know if time would allow me to drive this year. |

I would love to come out. One of my customers is wanting me to come with him. I will see what I can do. I would enjoy seeing all of you again as well. There is absolutely not a finer group of people that I know. I would like to meet all the folks who go to March Badness as well. You guys and gals make me smile....HUGE! |

There is a LOT of cool stuff that is being planned by Hals and Buell that hasn't been announced yet. It's going to be an AWESOME week. The only problem will be there may be TOO many things to do! |

I'm trying to get my stuff together for a return to Homecoming. I really enjoyed almost every minute last year. Wolf is right about one thing, that Speed Fairy is worth the money for avoiding Chicago. Rather than fight eight lanes of traffic on roads under construction, we got to kick back, enjoy the views, and rest a little. |

"too many things to do!" is a great problem to have. It's a great time to be a Buell owner/rider and I'm expecting this year's homecoming to be INCREDIBLE, and even at that my expectations are probably on the low end of the spectrum from the rumblings I've been catching as the planning started over a year ago (maybe a lot more than that). I would love to see vendors setting up shop at homecoming though, where else will they find such a large concentration of Buell riders to display their wares to, other than here on the net? Where else would we as Buell owners be able to actually SEE the latest and greatest aftermarket goodies without having to purchase them first? Just a thought.... |

Definition of Speed Fairy: The "Lake Express" Ferry that crosses lake Michigan. From Muskegon it takes you right into Milwaukee bypassing Chicagoland. |
