Well, I've known I was colour blind reds and greens since I went to sea after leaving school. But never blue. That frame is grey to me. Phew! Rocket |

The blue only stands out if you use a Flash and take the pic at night.

If everything blue is grey to you...... That may just explain some of your posts.... |

I like the blue frames and rims. Some of the test photos show the bike with red and gold rims. I think they look really good also. It is an easy change to change out the rims. I wonder how easy it will be to paint the frame? I will try that in about 5 years. |

That's somewhat of a relief Darkice. I really thought for a mo.... That's a nice effect going blue like that. Certainly the first time I've seen it. Rocket |

The pics do not show the blue in its true blue color... I suppose they could have used the bright blue firebolt wheels (2008) but the frame would have looked hideous (IMO). |

I wonder if SHARKSKINZ and other fairing makers will jump on this opportunity to offer a FULL FAIRING? Snow pics look good... bummer weather for riding... |

I do not know if you have already seen this, but the Germans had a go with a full fairing 1125R....... http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/showDetails.html ?id=22014631&tabNumber=2&__lp=1&scopeId=MB&sortOpt ion.sortBy=price.consumerGrossEuro&sortOption.sort Order=ASCENDING&makeModelVariant1.makeId=4200&make ModelVariant1.modelDescription=1125r&vehicleCatego ry=Motorbike&segment=Motorbike&negativeFeatures=EX PORT&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&custome rIdsAsString=&lang=de&pageNumber=1 |

I like that, but I wish it wasn't using the firebolt front fairing. I rather like the big headlights that are on the 1125R just want the rest enclosed. Wonder if that full kit would work with the stock front end. I all ready have an XB12R don't need another bike that looks just like it. |

That looks like a Photo shop job. I don't think any 1125R's have been shipped overseas yet.... If that is a real kit, I would use the 1125R farring. But that is getting close to what I would buy. |

i dont think it is photoshop. if you look at the rest of the pages it looks like it is sitting in front of a harley/buell shop, and there seems to be for sale info posted with it. can anyone read this stuff? i need to find out where the heck i can get that bodywork. i am pretty sure i could make it work with the 1125 fairing mods i plan easily enough. |

The bike is for sale at a dealer in Hannover Germany. It says it is an altered 1125R with full fairing of 500GP style with double headlights It further says the bike is available April 08 and sells for 14,299 Euros (well north of $20K) It does not give any details about the fairing conversion and where the components were sourced from. Maybe Jens at Hillbilly motors knows something about this. They are a sponsor on BadWeB (Message edited by doerman on January 04, 2008) |

Cut/Paste the link - may work... works for me. I like the 1125r front better than the firebolt look. |

I wonder were it comes from. I don't think any production bikes have made it to Europe yet. Could be a press bike some one had modified????? |

It does seem to be missing the black plastic heat shield from the right footpeg area that appeared on production bikes. Any other visual clues? |

That looks much better, as a preliminary step towards a fully faired version! I would like to retain to original fairing and lights. I would not be surprised to the Buell revamp the bike to carry a full fairing. It can be a great looking bike, it's not now, IMHO. From the side, with its front wheel turned it looks like its ready to barf. I don't see any need to show off the engine as I don't find it particularly attractive. I continue to consider the platform for a future purchase as I had blast riding it at VIR. (Message edited by rubberdown on January 04, 2008) |

You can always rely upon European's to add the styling and panache! That Wolfrace wheel looks great with all that shine on it. Rocket |

nice pics, but I am wondering if it is wise to do so because it is a 25th anerversity model, and anything done to it will have a negitiv impact down the road if you sell it, just thinking if the bike is kept stock, and ten or twenty years from now, it maybe would be worth allot if kept stock, being a 25th anerversity model. just a thought?. it even has the original 1125 fairing bracket on it yet. as far as being worth more down the road, i have never been one to leave things alone. most the time i figure my odds are pretty slim i will even be alive next week so i just have fun! |
