Greg... If need be can I use your truck to bring the bike here? My old man's truck is loaded with shit, no room for anything in the back. I have to wait until he goes back to work before it's empty. I'm looking for an alternative. On a side note.......... I'm having some folks over on New Year's Eve. You guys are invited to come over if you don't have any plans. let me know. |

Mike and I went for a spin on Sunday. We buzzed your house. Mike did a nice little burnout for you at the end of your driveway. I tried but the rear was all warmed up and I couldn't break it loose without popping the front end off the pavement. |

What with NO Kids around????WHY???!!! Must have been a TINY one as I am usually on top of that stuff!!! Good on Mike for trying though.....I should have all you guys hooked up on EcmSpy by the time good weather hits, Unless Mike has been playing with it (as he should have been by now) Bikes will run very well and I can change ENDLESS amounts of information with it!! Direct link is a thing of the past in my eye's.....No need for it anymore |

I'd love to come over and drink your booze, but I've already committed to going to my Mom-in-law's house to drink her booze, instead, and rock the Xbox with my nephew. And I decided to have my badging painted on so I can give you those badges back. Thanks anyways, but they just didn't fit the shape of new airbox very well. And oh yeah: Happy New Year, you slobs. Careful about anything anodized colored and exposed to sun.It bleaches away to natural alum |

Marko.... The thing about having your forks anodized is that you have to separate the sliders from the bottom of the forks. (the part that your axle goes through) This is a pain in the ass. That's why I opted to have mine powdercoated instead. I was going to have my forks anodized until I realized what I needed to do to get them done. |

Happy New Year NEBO! Hey Eric, I downloaded ECM Spy and have been doing a bunch of reading.....I'll be making a cable soon I have a feeling the Race ECM is going to be pretty close to right on, but who knows when a set of XB heads and XB9 pistons will find there way onto my bike (requiring a new tune up)..... Pretty much the only thing that would force my hand is if my brother got his M900 running well enough to compete at the strip! or if any of you showed up and started consistantly beating me.... |

Progress today.I started with this.. Got to this with my belts properly tensioned for valve actuation and piston crowns with wax applied.I used wax coincidentally AT the minimum thickness considering if i violated it i'd have too little clearance The wax, after spinning two complete revolutions went untouched,as expected. But was advised, this operation never goes undone as,a manufacturing defect would be catastrophic. Then, after spending most of the day assembling/setting-up,i got the pleasure of tearing it back down. It'll likely be assembled again for the last time now. I think when it comes to checking cam timing i may just verify the spec. and not mess with it.The special offset keys are obsolete and the elaborate(and over $500/set)replacements are going to be dialed one time so they seem cost prohibitive compared to the keys at $45. ea. Where i'd only expect to need two to adjust deviate the intake cams only..And for what...maybe an extra 5HP. |
