First let me say that i will probably not alter my new 1125R for some time and may never change the engine/running gear. with that said my questions are: first, as many do not care for the muffler and aftermarket ones will probably be available soon will any change like that void our great 24 mo. warranty? Second for you F.I. and especially those with XB guys, can any errant running problems be delt with, with a simple re-program at the dealer level with these new controllers? I would hope a power programmer would not be needed for a simple muffler change. This was not a problem with my M2 and why I chose a carbed model. Just maybe the new controllers have a learning cycle built in. Old school, yes, but now I'm looking forward to my own re-programming and education. Thanks much, ahead of time, for any input. Bob |

Not being a smart arse, but go buy a new chevy and put headers on it with straight pipes and run it lean and see if they honor warranty. Any time the factory configuration is tampered with can be cause to dishonor warranty.Put yourself in the factory's position. |

changing you exhaust should not have an impact on your warranty. Something like a power commander can though. For the most part, it depends on your servicing dealer and how by the book they are |

No impact? I can't agree with that. If you put a exhaust system on that has a lower amount of restriction to exhaust gas flow, as an after market exhaust system typically would, that can cause the engine to be running leaner. And a lean engine can run hotter, melt pistons, and just plain ruin itself. Exhaust system changes, properly done, require some additional careful work to put everything back into balance just to avoid damage. With all that done, you'll probably have bike that no longer meets noise and emission standards. Why should the warranty be honored with all that going on? Jack |

Well I havent seen if Buell will have a fuel remap or anything like that but if they have something that the service techs can do then you will be a-ok. I dont fully understand the fuel injection system they are using but is it a learning system? Will it adjust to changes like a higher flow air filter? I suppose at this early stage there is a lot going on and things be become more clear later |
