Hmmm, there's some thread pruning going on here it seems. |

I wouldn't call it "pruning" the branch has been gently re-routed look above at the sub-thread called "poo" |

How about a pipe cleaner based model next Rocket? |

This pipe looks cleaner than the helmholz bladder, but I bet that it has an ugly power curve compared to the bladder. Hhhmmm decisions, form or function. I'll hold. Z |

Don't worry. I wasn't thinking about putting into production. I bet it would sell though! Rocket |

I appreciate your passion Rocket. It is the stuff we Buellers are made of but your design has me a little puzzled as to how it could work better than what Buell has given us. How does that radiator get air flow through it? Where does the airbox get its air supply now that the scoop placement has been blocked by the radiator? I'm not attacking your creation. I hope you don't take it as such. I'm not an engineer or even mechanically inclined, I'm simply curious. It is a rather interesting design. |

Yeah mate, I started a business with £60 in my pocket 18 years ago, with a commitment to pay £70 a month rent, and overheads on top. That I've bought the premises, am still in business, bought and paid for all the tools and equipment over the years, and there are several Saabs parked outside for sale, I think my hard work and gamble paid off. Sure there have been tough times, but I picked myself up and I'm still in business earning a living, but you know what's best of all? I don't owe anyone a penny. Except for you that is. And one day I would love to return the debt in kind. But you're not man enough to accept. So go on. Poke as much as you like. I always get back up. Happy New Year Court Rocket |

Rocket.....your version looks better than the pod version. Again to each his own. |

Of course it couldn't possibly function, but as you say, to each his own. Take the radiators off and graft on a 125 cylinder ont he front and it'll be great. Heck, graft on two 125 cylinders and it won't melt down quite as fast! Now, please move this and all related posts to poo so we can get back to the topic? |

Is it my fault my photoshop won't work perfectly? I am suffering the same design constraints Buell did, except for different reasons. That though is a consequence of the design constraints presented when trying to place a liquid cooled larger motor in what is essentially a platform designed for a smaller capacity air cooled motor. That's just my dumb opinion of course. Of course, it would be wonderful to hear how Buell overcame such with their engineering know how. In doing so they might enamour many to the bike. But instead I will be hauled in front of the Judge for provoking argument and hatred and derision and blasphemy and racism and the troubles in Iraq and the damn BadWeB server that keeps going down. Oh well. It's a dirty job............ Rocket |

Hey anonymous, I just thought. You gotta admit it looks good naked. Now you're screwed if you ever bring a naked one out, as such will support my Buell vision of the future. Gotcha Rocket |

I'm in Phoenix until the 2nd. DANG - hate to miss a chance to ride. Buddy bought a Road King and he takes delivery on the 11th in San Diego. We're going to head down there for his first break-in miles. Stay in touch! Expect me to whine and cry about your new bike! |

Alrighty, I do not start class again until the 7th... So my schedule is fairly flexible until then. I am sure I can coax you into making an early purchase... Bwahahahahaha! |

I know Rocket has a bad rep but why is everyone giving him a hard time for posting up a crude mockup of on what a streetfighter 1125R could look like in the streetfighter thread? Personally I like the look of street fighters more but the more I think about it, the more I would rather have the wind protection that the fairing gives. |

I think some rationality has ben restored to the 1125 threads. I'm keeping my head down. Rocket |

and to look at the rotax guys...Buell could do it... and with the success of the S models, it makes sense to do it. But what do I know, I ride my bike off road

I saw the Super Duke at the dealer again today. I think it has side pods just as big as the 1125R. Can't find any overhead shots on the web but still... Why have those side pods on the Duke if it is a normal radiator placement? |
Slaughter

Why have those side pods on the Duke if it is a normal radiator placement? Because of the dead air behind the wheel, between the forks. You have to get the pressure increased on the front side of the radiator (I'm not a fluid dynamicist but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express) |

Those pods look kind of big to me. Wonder what the measurement across is compared to the 1125R? |

Awful close between the KTM & Buell. How about some measurements? |

I have seen both. I'm pretty sure the KTM is much fatter over all. But the sides are flatter so it's deceiving. I'm fairly sure the buell is the slim glowing lady in this case. |

Dare I say the 1125R has a coke bottle shape?
I found Rocket's favorite coke bottle.

It's not about the shape. It's about the worldwide recognition of the Coke bottle shape, and how appealing it has become to all. Like a 916 has, and the 1125 never will. Rocket |

Here Rocket, I found your Coke bottles.
Maybe these are the reason for your distorted outlook.
