A bike like that with a straighter handler bar and more upright seating position would be my next bike if it came out. |

My apologies for poor effort with my computer skills. Maybe someone can clean it up a little more. The exhaust, or should I say sheep's bladder, need junking in favour of something more Buell like. No offence to the 1125 exhaust design, but I don't like the way Honda have designed a similar idea to blend with the fairing on the latest Fireblade either.

most of the new efforts are kinda ugly the CBR is no exception...the 1125 is starting to have some potential with some of the crap taken off thats what i wanted...hopeful in the next few years we will see some cool stuff like that...now someone with some photoshop skills give that sucker a bad @ss pipe. |

Looked close at the muffler yesterday while Loretta was warming up. The front 2/3 looks pretty good and trim, but it's a tubber in the back 1/3. NOT tuber... If the back 1/3 could lose 50-75% volume it would really help the look back there. Of course it wouldn't pass the 80db thingy and you'd be branded a Criminal. Wish I had a torch and a TIG. Z |

BTW - My 1125's name is Loretta, because when I saw that low-cut sweater of a wind screen, that's all I could think. Thanks John and Sir Paul. Had to search tho, seems Dbird29 mentioned it in August, in reference to "Life of Brian". Actually have to credit Metalstorm from Dec 12th for putting the name in short-term memory tho. Z |

Do we know why the muffler is so large? Is it volumn/perfoemance related or is it emissions-sound related? Surely it wasn't simply a 'design' effort, was it??? I have the same question for the pods. I like Rockets rendition but would like to know the effect on cooling. What say you at the factory?? |

The muffler is the shape it is because of the inclusion of a "tuned Helmholz Chamber". From reading up, I think that's the back 1/3, so modifying that would totally wreck the muffler. Now I'm glad I don't have a torch and a TIG. http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/jw/Helmholtz.html and others. Z |

Am I correct in assuming the Helmholtz chamber is for low restriction noise reduction and not for power production? |

It will be interesting to see the dyno charts of the first after market mufflers. I suspect they will put some pot holes in that beautiful torque/power band. The stock muffler may not be the prettiest thing ever put on a bike, but there is a reason it looks the way it does. |

Rocket must be joking. I for one, would have way too much pride to post those revisions of the 1125r. If we really want a laugh, maybe he can post that picture of him riding that V-8 abomination. |

Those taste the best. Im making some pics of an 1125r/Uly and a 1125r/streetfighter when i get them done ill post them here. |

See if this gives those lacking in perspective, a better understanding. Yes I know about the tyre.
For the doubters, put it next to a Boss Hoss if you really want to see rubbish. Fifty thousand dollar rubbish at that. Rocket bring it on for Christmas - yawn |

thats a beast...the guy has some balls to say the least...anybody else here built anything like that. Five stars! What happened to that feature, anyway? Oh, I remember. Blake took it out cuz he couldn't stand the thought of Rocket getting into the Guinness Book, even though it was for accruing the greatest number of one-star awards. I like the back tire, Rocket. I enjoyed the v-8 bike. I appreciate the fact that it wasn't built with a run of the mill (for the US) 350/454/502. What I'd like to see is the dry sump 5.4 Ford GT motor in the two wheeled variety! |

indeed rubberdown indeed..i cant speak for rocket but i know why i stay here...ive found a place where intelligent spirited conversation flourishes (most of the time) and i garnished some much needed information from others that know way more then i about motorcycles...a forum that has interesting topics.. and has a widely diversified group of motorcycle owners...where when im bored i can always depend on some topic or another to get my blood rushing...a place where ive made friends..a forum where the people help each other weather they like the other person or not they would just do it cause its the right thing to do....this place is unique to say the least...without badweb i would just be a guy who had a buell and sold it with badweb ive gotten to hear and see all sides of the new 1125R and reconsider maybe buying one in the future..good and bad photoshopping helped ...i would like to thank blake for letting me stay here and voice my opinion.. and putting up with my typing and other quirks..this great country of ours was built on similar principals...let the people speak even if u dont agree...great things may come of it even if it does anger some....to make a short story long...thanx blake and everybody else here may the new year be full of twisty roads, no cops, and sparks from your footpegs. "cant we all just get along" , hell no that would be boring. |
