It's very poor. Actually you can. however, have some great fun blasting north towards the Flint Hills, South to the Arbuckle Mountains in Oklahoma and there is some really fun (if not particularly twisty) riding West of Wichita. In addition . . . few folks are familiar with the gorgeous Chalk Cliffs of Dover. There are some, even after you get past the deepest hand dug well in Greenburg and the world's largest ball of string, fascinating things to learn and see.  Court | ||

the riding around wichita is nice if you like long flat straight roads. otherwise it kinda sucks. there are some nice roads with mild twists, but you have to look for them. most of the enjoyment is the solitude and scenery of a lot of the backroads and riding with guys like p47b(william) contact myself or william when you get here. be glad to have another rider | ||

Rode about 100 miles today. weather was great! William, 2 other buell owners and myself had a nice afternoon ride. My buell decided to puke the battery. another x-1 owner's battery also was dead so we rode our other bikes. but i did wear my buell jacket. | ||

Tom_b Its going to have to get a lot nicer weather wise between today and the 6th for me to make Cassoday, its 141 miles each way for me and I not going to ride it in the cold crappy wet weather we're currently having. I live 10 miles south of US54 at the Ks/Mo state line and you know how boring 54 is. Do you know Dusty Werner? He's a wrench for Alefs in Wichita and his parents and I are neighbors. | ||

Don't know Dusty. Know a woman who works there i used to do a few yrs. back goes by the nickname of teensy. William is going to round up a few riders and we are going to be there. the weather will be nicer by then. Maybe later this year I can talk william and a couple of others to head east to west mineral to check out "big Brutus". | ||

I work up here at Alefs... and do no dusty. I dont no that I can make Cassoday... I work every darn sunday at this place. So that ride is usually out of the question for me. Maybe i can get one off sometime though. | ||

Unfortunately my only days off are Monday and Tuesday. But I would be more likely to be granted a sunday off than i would a Saturday. Unless i decide to take my vacation sometime soon. | ||

Just letting everyone know about the Open House event tommorrow up here at the Dealership. Should be pretty cool. Stunt Riders and the roller derby girls. Should have some vendors also. Dont forget to say hi. | ||

too bad i didn't see this earlier. p47b, myself and 4 others rode all day saturday, another would have been welcome. get a hold of p47b or myself with a tele#. be glad to have you next month for the cassoday ride. You don't even have to ride a buell, hell mine is down a lot of the time anyway, but i do have buell jacket |
