Ok so the new 1125R does not have the Cheese grater, pasta strainer, vege collander... so what is the name for the hole behind the license plate? Halo maybe ? Chime in with your votes, cuz you know that alot of them are gonna get eliminated, might as well get a name for em. |

It's more like a slicer now instead of a grater. |

What's the big deal? The 1125R has the same tail section as the Firebolt, and the Firebolts don't have cheese graters either. That's entirely the province of the XB Lightning line. Why is it even being discussed as an 1125R issue? |

take a close look at the a$$ end of that bike, there is a hoop that is not on the Firebolt, and it is a unique part that is on the 1125R. |

part of DOT regs? I'm guessing here but I'd imagine that the plate is "supposed" to be behind the tire and since the 1125 used the bolt's tail section but yet has a longer swingarm, which is probably where the majority of the extra 2.5" comes from in the wheelbase, they had to make an extension peice in order to pass the DOT regs. You could probably just get a hanger for an XB bolt and I'd guess it would bolt right up. Same reason the XBs' have the cheesegrater-gets the plate behind the rear wheel. |

It kinda grows on you over time. It actually looks decent when viewed from the very back. (which will probably be the the view seen by most ) |

Flipped the channel on the tube one day and saw a person describing an artists "Creative use of Negative Space". It was a block with a hole in it. There are so few Buells where I live I'd be so shocked to see an 1125R I do't think I would notice the tailend anyway. |
