Be mindful that less than 30% of the folks who own motorcycles read moto mags . . . fewer still on the internet. |

Mine is at the dealer, but we have a new coating of snow here in PA. That means it will stay there till the roads are better. |

I got the call from my dealer, Uke's in Kenosha, WI today. We also have several inches of ice & snow on the ground right now, so I'm stuck too. I'm planning to go up there on Saturday and check it out. Unfortunately, the forecast calls for more snow every couple of days around here, so I'm not expecting to be able to do much of anything right now. Still, I'm glad its here... |

So many of us have been told that we have VIN's and that our bikes were shipped and only a couple have gotten their bikes. I am going to have my sales guy take a lie detector test to verify he has been telling the truth. |

I just seen mine, and it looks even better than the pictures. Maybe that was because the sold tag had my name on it. The only thing I was afraid I wouldn't like was the muffler, but I thought it looked fine. |

Bike arrives on Dec 15ht. Supposed to be mid to upper 60's that week with no rain or snow. Here is to crossing my fingers that the weather holds. Would love to be out riding as soon as the 1125r gets in. Just sold my X1 and have nothing in the stables. Feels kind of weird to have a helmet and leathers with nothing to go riding on. |

why didn't they ship to the southern states first to get these things on the road instead of all the ice and snow states? yall can't find some indoor go-kart tracks up there anywhere? |

I went up to Uke's yesterday and checked out the 1125r. It really does look great in person. I spent quite a while sitting on it, looking in all the nooks and crannies, and wishing the roads were in better shape. There was a ton of salt on the road, and I was really reluctant to get all that corrosive stuff all over my new bike. So, for now, the bike is still at Uke's. I keep hoping for a break in the weather, but it's getting nastier as we get more freezing drizzle today on top of the additional coating of snow from yesterday. This is one of the few times I wish I owned a transport van so I could pick it up and go somewhere warm for a week or so... I can wait. Anticipation make the arrival of warmer weather so much sweeter anyway. |

I just found out I got the first one! No crap. Bought it from one of our sponsors here on BADWEB, Cowboy HD in Austin,TX. The first one sold and the first to register. Got a cool poster signed by Eric Buell and some other cool stuff. Hope I was pretty enough to make Fuell next month! I know my wife was looking good, so they probably put her in there and cut me out. |

I am still waiting it is paid for and a done deal got five hundred off the price but it has not shown up at the dealership, it is killing me waiting does anyone heard of any delays I some guys got them and some do not I could have but the dealer did not go down on the price, I just wanted a dealer to take some off because that is what makes a dealership good and now they got my busniness and Manchester Buell suck took them two month to fix my ulysses has 6500 on it and felt something break and then they jerked me around and got it two weeks ago and it still is not right and some screws were cross threaded, can not believe a certafied mechanic worked on it, think I will can the dealership now to see what is going on. Just got off the phone it is in transit and does anyone know how long it takes the dealerships to setup the bike, and the proper break in for this bike. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all. Mike |

Just got the call from the dealer about 5 minutes ago. My bike is loaded and they are headed my way . This is going to be the longest half hour of my life. 44˚F and the roads are dry. Should be able to get an hour or so on it tonight. Later Z |

Zac4Mac is riding! NO snow, ice, nor freezing temps will stop a mountain man from getting that first break-in heat cycle on his new 1125r.

Thanks, only got a few miles and started seeing ice form on the puddles. Still too much water/ice to chance so I'm in the garage installing the heated grips. heheheh instructions say unplug old control module on right and discard. They don't say you have to pull the fairing. Real simple, towels on EVERYTHING plastic. Now I see why it's a 2 hour job. Half of that is tidying the wiring back. Very nicely done, harness is wrapped with woven nylon. Much higher class than "black tape". I can't find any fault with the build quality. So far, I continue to be impressed with this machine. back to work Z Thanks for the pic, Dave I'm taking tomorrow off so I can ride. (Message edited by zac4mac on December 18, 2007) |

Hey, Bagger. The setup is literally a matter of minutes for an experienced tech. Check the fluid levels...air in the tires. main fuse. other than a good look over the factory does it all on this one. The break is like most bikes ..take it easy for a few hunnert miles to let the rings seat. then have fun. |

Well, I'm in from the garage. Heated grips are installed and they work. Don't know how well yet, tomorrow I'll find out. Looked over the instructions again and couldn't find a step for removing the fairing, but a picture of a Firebolt showed its fairing off. Went very smoothly, glad I followed the suggestion to put rags on the bodywork. As far as the accessory plug, the grip kit has a male and a female, so you still have an accessory plug after installation. KEEP THE CAP and put it in the female connector. Everything is "tighter" than my Firebolt was, fitment wise. Got the tour seat on and the tank bra. One of the prep steps for the bra was to wax the box cover. So, I waxed the whole thing. Gonna try to get an early start tomorrow. No sight seeing, just miles and listen to what she sings as we ride. Z |

Awesome, congrats Zac! Picking mine up Thursday. Not spost to rain (we'll see) but I'm riding it home either way. Mine was in Saturday but they forgot to call me. The guy I was dealing with is at Laguna so he probably had a lot on his mind and forgot. I can forgive that. It was nasty weather here anyway. |
