Anyone know where we can get a plug compatible with it to plug our own stuff in? |

The connector in the fairing is *not* a cigarette lighter or heated gear plug, it is a Deutsch connector. It is my understanding this is a switched power connection, i.e. it turns off with the key. If that is the case, it will not work for a trickle charger. The owners manual also states that the computer may disable this outlet if a low voltage condition is detected, to shunt as much power as possible to essential systems like ignition and fuel pump. The fact that the computer can turn it off if it needs to supports the theory that it's ignition-switched. I'm still working on locating the plug on Blublak's bike...but don't want to start disassembling his front end without asking first, LOL. Maybe we can dig into it tonight when he comes by. |

Joe, look above the lower tree, to the left side(bike left). Should be grey and about an inch- inch and a half long. That's where the plug was on mine. I'll be getting it in a couple of hours and can verify. Thought it looked like 4 pins, but the connector in the kit was 2 pin. I'll have bike and kit together for the first time this afternoon. Shop tells me it has HD 20-50 in it. I'm happy. If, indeed it shows up today, I'll be putting the heated grip kit on. I'll comment on that after I'm done. Zack |

I don't know if this will help as I havnt touched an 1125 yet and won't get mine until May 23(my delivery date as I am in Iraq), But I found this. http://www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/acc/acc.ht m It has a part# from H-D for a Deutsch connector to a lighter plug. it goes on to talk about the wiring of the plug. Just thought I'd add and see where it goes cause Ima gonna needa radar detector on mine. |

Got the bike Tuesday and put about 20 miles before it got dark and icy. Rolled her into the garage and added mods. Grip kit was straightforward and fairly easy, took a little over an hour. Instructions don't show 1125 yet, almost the same as for a Firebolt. They don't say it(I couldn't find) but you have to remove the fairing. There is a picture of a Firebolt without its fairing. Remove the fairing by unplugging then removing the mirrors. Then remove the 2 bottom screws and lift off the fairing. You need to do this so you can get to the wiring. Once the fairing's off, follow the Firebolt instructions. They work flawlessly. Even in 20˚ my hands stay WARM. Took off Wednesday and put 185 miles in low 40s. Rode to work Thursday, 22˚F, when I got in, my hands were warmer than if I drove my Camaro. We got snow Friday, so she's been in the garage. Maybe today... Z |

Rusty, Thanks, I'll look into that. Hopefully that will work for the 1125R, now I need an "inline" one like the factory grip kit has so I can properly install a set on the XB12Scg Josh |

Power is nice. We have days here at higher elevations in winter when it'll be down to zero (F) and it's still too nice to NOT wanna ride. Heated undies (Gerbings, thank you Santa!) and yes, radar detector... (for entertainment purposes ONLY) I'm a weather wuss. (though I'm still a year away from my own 1125R - the S3 is still primary transportation) |

Hey Zac4mac, I was told by a salesmonkey at the dealer I bought through that the mirror nuts are single-use only and need to be replaced if removed. He was sent to Laguna and spent a lot of time learning about and riding the 1125R and I have no reason to doubt him... |

Paul - he was probably told that by a nut salesman. They're just studs and nuts, nothing special. I bet you can use them a hundred times. No crush washers even. I've pulled and remounted my mirrors several times now, playing with stuff. They come off and go back on just fine. My personal experience, YMMV. Zack |
