G2, Save that pass this time for warmer weather. We already did the cold tire test. You got that right. Which bike are you bringing Greg? I don't know (maybe after Christmas I'll have another option too .) |

Home! What an awesome ride today! Good riding, good eats, and good people! Nice 350 mile coastal loop. Very wet and cold at the end. Thankfully, I had electric gear today. My rain suit leaked though! Rachel made it home as well. She's the loving the R1200S. Carlos and Mark are on their way home. |

Mark just called - he's home, Carlos should be home within the next 20 minutes. Sounds like they had a very wet ride home. |

Hey Ulyman I talked to your dad at the toy run for Kennedy home. The ride starts in New Bern. Please fell free to call on M2nc or myself before you pick up your bike,we will make sure that your bike is set up right for you,THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT.NRHD is not gonna deal with BUELL any more which sucks. Most dealers just do the basics and thats all. Take it easy when you first get on it ,the ULY is known to be a wheelie monster. So get used to riding it solo before you take on a passenger.Do the break in BY THE BOOK the owners manual is very generous on break in.Yes the Uly is fast but anything over 55 is a ticket,Right. Just take it easy and enjoy.Break in is really a great time for you to get familar with the bike, like I said just take it easy. Later, Webe |

when you talk about setting up the uly what all does that involve? and is any of it things that a mecanically inclined country boy with his own tools could handle? It involves setting up the suspension. It's not difficult to do. A screwdriver and a large socket are all that is required. It's just something a lot of dealers don't take the time to do. |

Ulyman, there is a chart in the owners manual that gives suspension settings for various weights. It's a 5 minute process to set the bike up. As to other suggestions: 1 - Better lights 2 - Ceramic coat the muffler 3 - Ride at least 1000 miles/month. |

Ulyman, maybe save the other mods for when you have more time and just get electric gloves and jacket liner and ride the heck out of it until you have to go back. Enjoy! |

3rd time is a charm? http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/511437890.html I have no idea why it has been so hard to sell this bike. I've had at least a dozen emails about it, many with offers as high as $1000, but only one guy was serious enough to come look at the bike. The way I see it, emailing a low-ball number without even looking at the item is a dead giveaway that you aren't serious about making a purchase. I've been offered a fair trade-in price for my Firebolt on a used Ulysses, so right now the KTM is the only thing holding me back from being a Ulysses owner. I'm anxious to move it, just need to find a real buyer. The first guy to show up with cash wins. |

Damn, it's great to finally see some daylight. Just finished 21 1/2 days straight at work. 222 hours, and grateful to get it this time of year. I'll be off until the 7th. Hope I can catch up with some of 'yall for a ride, if it warms up any. Me 'aint got any heated gloves. I'm gonna look around online, starting at Aerostich, but can anyone recommend a decent brand, and some sort of easy hookup? |

UlyMan, congrats! Twig, i don't recommend Widder. hard to go wrong with anything from the 'Stich catalog. if you've got a permanent Battery Tender hook-up on your bike, you can easily power a pair of gloves (or most anything else) from there. 17 degrees up here on The Scenic this morning... FB |

Jim, let me know your schedule. I was kinda thinking about taking the Prelude out of hibernation and driving it a couple hundred miles. I need to burn the old gas out. It fired right up three months ago, and drove fine. While I'm off, I'm gonna go back to the U-pullit and yank the perfecto door I found for it. Hopefully, it's still there, and maybe be able to get the rest of the body work done by fall. |

Ulyman, Does your old man's yellow Honda Magna have some kind of carved wooden figure strapped to the front of it? If so, his path and mine have coincided many a time. Congrats on the new bike, 1313 |
