Hello all, i've been reading posts on badweb for about a year now, but finally decided to register ... Anyways, My dealer told me today that the first shipment of 1125R's was sent back to the factory for a "final inspection" that was not done prior to the bikes being loaded and shipped (this would include my/my wife's 1125R). They stated that our 1125R would re-ship on Monday. They also stated that his information came straight from Buell. Has anyone heard of this? Anony, can you confirm or deny? Our vin ended in XXXXXXX252. I saw that Zac got his today (he also lives in Colorado) and his vin is earlier than ours ... any useful answers would be helpful. |

Not that I have heard. Obviously we are behind schedule due to parts shortages, but I have not heard of any bikes being shipped and then called back. There are no issues at all I know of occurring. Unless somehow they shipped California bikes to Colorado by mistake or something goofy like that. Which could happen in the chaos of trying to match up orders and get them to the right places. That process is not in the best of control! |

Alright, thanks for replying ... i just don't know what to think about what the dealer is telling me. Our bike supposedly shipped 2 and a half weeks ago, but now its supposedly shipping on Monday and will take another week or so to arrive. I want to believe what the dealer is telling me ... they have been good to me so far. |

My dealer in Littleton, CO said theirs was on the truck to be delivered but was pulled back to the factory. There were not given a reason, but surmised that something must be wrong and needed attention. |

Helicon, No bad reflection on the dealer at all. I am sure he is just not clear on what happened. The bike didn't arrive, so someone may have assumed they were called back. That may even have been his local H-D (part-time Buell) rep who said that. But nothing has been called back. I am sure that it simply didn't go out on schedule. We are a month behind, darn it. |

I would not be surprised if you are right Anony, and once again, thankyou for your insight. Cpilot, I believe we ordered from the same dealer (I don't know of any other HD dealers in Littleton) ... are you #2 in line? At least I am not the only one at this dealership being told something along the same lines. |

We got a similar message today from our SPOC. No word on what the problem is. |

How come all of a sudden there's a bunch of people popping in here with no posts saying "OMG!!11!!1! There's a RECALL!!!" Please get facts, check them, confirm them, THEN post them . Thank you. Really... Dealer tells customer when the bike will be in. Buell drops a bit behind. The dealer doesn't have a clue as to what's actually going on so they tell the customer whatever pops into their mind first. Between a dealership and an anony... I'll pretty well take the anony every time. |

Helicon, I have no money down, I am just on the list to "see" and "touch" it. Right now I am just a very interested observer. I really hope Buell gets it right. |

"Between a dealership and an anony... I'll pretty well take the anony every time." M1 ... that is exactly why I asked for some feedback from anony. |

M1... before you go bashing a dealer, make sure YOU know why they are reporting the facts the way they are. Most times, HD does not update their shipping info and because of such, the dealer gives out-dated info. So the problem doesn't lye within the dealer, but with HD Corporate. |

To all those with questions, keep posting away, that's the purpose of a forum.... so you CAN get the answers your seeking. |

Why don't threads like this just die off after an anony has cleared your confusion up? |

That was really a comment aimed at the situation... I didn't mean to point it at anyone in particular. I think I've read three threads where someone said their dealer told them there might be a recall of some sort. Sorry to get anyones panties in a bunch . |

We have serial no. 295 sitting on our sales floor available, not recalled for any reason either. |

A lot of Harley dealers have developed the extremely unattractive habit of just making it up when asked a question about motorcycles. Many of them are just businessmen who don't know very much about them. The practice didn't adversely affect their business back when demand for Harley's outstripped supply. Those balmy days are over. They don't seem to realize that that dog won't hunt when they are talking sh*t to Buelligans. " Can't teach an old dog new tricks," or so I am told.

sales people who tell you what they think you want to hear, as opposed to telling you the truth/whole story.... if only they understood just how unique they are.

I remember when I got my S2, The XB line had just been released. The sales guy was telling me things like the S2 had a 3.7 gallon tank and made just over 100 horse. This was after he told me that I didn't want a Buell because Harley made a sport bike, the V-Rod. Some people simple should not be in sales. |

I understand that their was no secret recall or there were not truck loads of 1125R recalled off the trucks because they forgot the steering head bolt or something like that. And that salesman make up stuff sometimes when they don't have an answer for a customer. I've been a salesman had to work with people like that. Still... I received word from the dealer that my serial number is 142. Coming either today or the 3rd. of Jan 08. Cool, I'm excited. But when some are get serial numbers in the 600's where has 142 been? I must have been lost? Maybe it went out for pictures or some show and tell? I am curious where this now earlier serial has been for a least a few weeks. |

Don't get too carried away about the serial order of serial numbers. . . I've got the Excel spreadsheets from some years and would invite ANYONE, not in the industry, to make heads or tails of them. |
