or maybe it's just the handsome devil sitting on it. I was a little disappointed with IMS this year, there was no Buell truck out there for test rides. |

Sure does. I'll give up the pictures for live good looks any day. |

Not to stereotype, but dude you look like an extra from 'Hells Angels On Wheels'. The 1125 doesn't! Rocket |

I think with this bike looking so good, some Harley guys may actually be "stepping up to a Buell". instead of buying another Harley. |

No IMS near me until next month, but I'll be there. Slobbering over the 1125 along with the rest of the people. |

I'll take that as a compliment Rocketman! Except for the part about being an "extra"... |

After seeing it in person, I am dying to get that front end for my XB. Those headlights... that fairing... love it. The 1125 just isn't in the budget this year... too bad... |

Matt Saw your pic post from a week ago with a goatee. Now you're sporting a home grown winter riding scarf. How long did it take you to grow that thing? |

The goatee picture is from January 5. I haven't shaved all year. Not planning to shave my face again... ever. (Message edited by pwnzor on December 10, 2007) |

That's amazing how much a beard makes a person look different! Sometimes I try to grow out my hair on my head, but I just lose patience and end up shaving it again. |

"Sometimes I try to grow out my hair on my head, but I just lose patience and end up shaving it again." I suffer that same phenomenon. |

Matt - I bet you'll be the mystery guy at your high school reunion. Was that a prom pic or your wedding? |

I was best man at my friend's wedding, in a DRY county of Laurel, Mississippi. Baptist preacher was thrilled about my hair. That was 1995. |

I love the bike more in person especially after several months of drooling over the pictures. Oh by the way, Your hair is on upside down. |

I saw one at the local dealer the other day and personally thought it looked uglier in person. The scoops that looked so funky in photos actually didn't look too bad but the muffler and the fairing are atrocious! I'm standing there thinking "I've seen that fairing before somewhere". Then it hit me, it bears a remarkable resemblance to the robots head in Rocky IV . It also seemed kinda strange to have the same streamlined tail section of the Firebolt with the bulbous front end. Makes the rear of the bike appear out of proportion. After leaving the HD shop I rode over to the local import shop to pick up my new ATV and couldn't help but notice the flowing lines on most of their sport bikes. They all just appealled to my taste much more than the 1125. I honestly can't see it pulling many of the younger buyers away from the big 4. The power may be there but the styling is, in my opinion a bit off. Sad too since I really like to support the little guy. |

I too just got my first look and would agree that the proportions seem inconsistent. It looks like there was a bit of a rush to market. I guess they did not want to back off the 2008 model year name when in a few days from now it could have been called an 09. |

So I have a picture of the 1125R on my computer "desktop" screen. Last night my brother and some of his motorcross riding buddies came over and see the bike on my screen. All of them were saying how cool the bike looked including one comment, "That is the best looking streetbike I have ever seen!" It was the first time any of these guys have seen or heard of the new Buell. |

Sat on one today. I was really impressed! I was impressed with Sabrina calling me from Latus Motors to let me know there was one on the floor, impressed with how cool the dealership was, and WAY impressed with how the 1125 looked. It definitely DOES look better in person. It felt good, but that is another story. I was lukewarm to the appearance in the web photos. Honestly, I thought the scoops were just a little too weird, jut a little too big. But in person, I am very pleased. Job well done, gentlemen! M. |
