Buell still has some suppliers who are not meeting delivery schedules for incoming parts. The remaining bikes intended for shipment in November will be delivered in December. December ship dates will be moved to January. You can anticipate a 30 day delivery adjustment (delay) until further notice. |

i heard something about that at work today. so mine was originally intended for november, then it got moved to jan, then back to december 10th which was monday. so what does that mean? i am hoping i can go by the november date then, but i am betting i probably have to wait till january now i was so hoping to get started on this thing! i wanted to have it mostly done for march badness... either way thanks for the update anyway. i was atleast hoping we would get one in (mine!)since some already have multiple ones. I knew there was a problem when there was no VIN in H-DNET on the day the bike was supposed to ship...(Dec 7th). |

Hey wait, if I "have" a VIN# lower that ones that have already arrived at people's houses, will mine ship before January? |

I'm cornfused about this whole process... I thought the VIN comes after production? I must say that I admire Anony's willingness to communicate amongst such a restless bunch |

I am under the impression that IF there is a VIN, the bike is in production. Not sure what parts they are waiting for.... |

A VIN is assigned late in assembly. Dealers get a reference number from which production status can be checked. I know a guy who has a reference number on a Rocker softail that was scheduled for November build that he is now being told March. Then again, in a former life and non-related product, production can continue incomplete with product shuttered to a warehouse where it awaits delinquent supplier parts. Those units had VIN numbers already. Product fortunate enough to not require those parts, or to get them, can be packged for shipment. |

So can I go visit mine in jail? If I were the warden, all family support members would be welcome. |

I'm having visions of half-assembled 1125r bikes on the line (one of them mine) while managers are making frantic calls to light fires under the errant suppliers... |

Dont even start with the Rocker, ya'll want some where is my bike angst? go check out the H-D forum for the Harley riders that have been waiting for their FXCW &FXCWC since they first saw it at Sturgis back at the rally in AUGUST. September became October, that fell into November, that got delayed until December, that postponed until January and maybe by spring thaw that bike will be here. I have 3 VERY irrate customers that are less than happy. A month off for Buell, trust me, there is NO comparison. |

HD's FXCW... it's the new model HD is offering to appeal to the chopper crowd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk2k8rdjFbE The rocker bike is another blueballer, much like the 1125R, in that it has been delayed due to a few production setbacks. The bike also serves as a decoy/conversation piece for dealers when you are complaining about delivery dates |
