Wait, so you owe 7k on the 06, then they'll give you $6600, leaving you with $400 to rollover onto the 08 Uly, right? |

I'd say thats pretty darn fair. According to NADA your on the low end of a trade in but we all know how low prices have gone for used Buells. I'd jump on it. |

Tell them to pay off your old bike and they have a deal..They should break if that's the deal breaker.. |

Slowride i owe 7k to the bank and hd will give me 6600 for mine 7000 - 6600 = 400, you still owe to the bank. the new uly out the door is 13k and some change. 13,000(& change) + 400 = 13,400(& change) If I did the math right, you will be financing $13,400 (& change.) is this a good deal? Not for me... but if owing 13k + on a new bike is ok for you; then yes, it's a good deal. |

I'd keep the 06 until I wasn't upside in it and then consider trying again for a deal. There are plenty of deals out there all the time. Is the difference from the 06 and the 08 that great to make it worth it? A legit question. |

Teeps, You nailed it! That was the bulk of my question. I called the sales manager yesterday and spoke with him and he assured me after looking at the deal sheet that I was only going to be financing $7600 and some change. I repeatedly asked him about the other 6k that was missing in this deal and in no uncertain terms told me that I didn't understand how the process worked. I finally gave up trying show him the missing money and told him that I would be bringing a check from my Bank for the $7600 to complete the deal. I fully expect this deal to be a bust after I plop the check on the table and they start writing up the paperwork. I mean in essence what HD dealer is going to eat 6k to sale a 12K bike? None..... |

It sounds like the dealer is under the impression that your bike is paid for. The dealer isn't going to have a problem giving you a new bike for your old one and $7,600.00. Your bank is the one who is going to have a problem when you want them to release the title to your dealer without you giving them a check for the remainder of the loan. Or am I just not getting it? No matter how you cut it, you are going to owe someone $13,400. Though.... It would be SO cool if the dealer messed up and actually let you leave with it! Bill |

I did forget that with the 7400.00 I'm offering there is your tax savings as well. I'm not sure what tx. is but in n.j. its 7% so your trade now has a value of 7918.00 that would be the exact trade value to you. give me a call and will talk ask for anthony c in sales 732-381-2400 |

Sounds like the dealership carries the 'missing' money, until they sell your trade in. I think(?) Your bike = $6K about + or - Your check = $7600 total = $13.6 about Dealers often basically finance their entire inventory, so used or new, all the same, it's 'float' so to speak. |
