Saw a bunch on eBay last week. They were selling lower leg fairings, tail section and tank cover, all "new take-offs". Dunno if they were or not, but they sure looked it! |

What are you looking/willing to pay for a seat? I've got a new old stock one in a plastic bag. Don't know if I want to sell it or not, got it for a spare/backup. I'll have to check it when I get home as I think it has the added metal retention loop on the bottom center area of the seat that was added for the 1996 model year S2. |

I was on ebay today and they had NADA. Need to get my s2 back into shape. I'm not sure what a seat goes for but let me konw what you want for it and if its reasonable I'll buy it. Where are you located? |

There's a complete set of snap red fiberglass on eBay. this is just the link to the fairing... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-Buell-S2-Front -Upper-Fairing_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em 118QQcategoryZ35560QQihZ004QQitemZ140129403579QQrd Z1QQsspagenameZWD1V Very pricey though, heck, I'd let my whole set go for $500 |

I just called one of the local shops (Hal's), parts guy said the seat was a vendor direct, would take maybe 5 days, price around $151. I picked up the one I have to use as a spare for my M2, paid $100 for it since it was basically new and I'd like to get that back on it. Shipping it from Wisc would probably put it where you'd be better off finding one more used or new from a local shop.
The second metal tab in the center of the seat was added later in production to better secure the seats to the bike, if I recall the story correctly (Court's and Dave's book may tell more about the running change).
The one on my bike isn't near as nice as this one, but I've had to monkey-up the seat lock and 'tweak' the slot to fit my aftermarket lock setup. You can see the small rub/tears on my stock seat on the lower rear corner which was part of the reason I picked up the spare seat.
The reason I'm not riding currently:
Even though I might take a spin on this bike later once I adjust the gears and put the studded tires on it.

Ratbuell, I have a complete set of snap red bodywork for a '95 S2. The front fender has damage though. |
